Bmw: "to register the new battery size or the other battery type, now carry out the following retrofit in the program - battery" where??

Apparently this scanner can register a new battery (that is, tell the car that you put in a new battery, which changes how actively it charges that battery), but since it can't change the battery type (AGM vs Acid) or battery power, you need another scanner. Foxwell sells the GT80 or you can get Carly app on your phone with the bluetooth (android) or wifi (ios) OBDII adapter.

Is this compatible with 2008 bmw 750li obd? i am not sure of which code will my 7 series fall in, hence i asked.

The scanner can support the BMW 750li, it can not only support most system scan, but also support some service functions such as ABS/DSC final check,Bleeding, precharging pump circuit,Bleeding, DSC hydraulics,EWS/DME alignment,ect.

Will this scanner register a new battery in a 2011 bmw 335i (e90)?

Just to dispel some of the misinformation posted here. This scanner will register your new battery. By following the prompts on the scanner, it will register whatever size battery (amp wise) you install by sensing the battery itself. It also appeared, while I was installing a new battery in my 535iGT xdrive today, that there is the option to install a wet cell instead of an agm if so desired. Simply install the new battery, plug in the scanner, turn on the ignition (don't start the engine), and follow the instructions on the scanner. Once you have the new battery registered, you'll want to run diagnostics so you can reset any codes that may have popped up during the battery change. I had a ton of them appear as my old battery had gone almost totally dead, and the reset is easy and painless. Also, there are loads of instructional vids on Youtube to help you if need be. This is a very good scanner for the price.
