Not protected against accidental opening
It is quite easy to accidentally open it. If they fall out it is difficult to clean it up. Not recommend, will go back to silica in paper bags

Great little product that does as advertised
It's doing a good job of taking moisture out of reasonably small spaces and is easy to reactivate in the oven. I think the product that's shipped now may be different to the one in old reviews. The current version is aimed at the American market rather than European and says to reactivate for 2 hours at 280 degrees Fahrenheit. This is under 140 Celsius - far lower than other reviewers say they have had to use for their canisters. I tried putting mine in the oven after switching it off when I'd finished cooking a meal, but that wasn't quite enough to reactivate the product by the time the oven had cooled completely. However I did only need to switch the oven back on for a short time to complete the reactivation so it didn't need a large amount of extra electricity.

Great for snorkelling cameras
It's great that you can now buy compact cameras which can be used for snorkelling down to 10m without a protective case, but the temperature drop can make them steam up internally. This product fixes that problem very effectively. Just leave your snorkelling camera sealed in a zip-seal plastic bag overnight with the silica gel canister, with the camera battery door open. In the morning push the camera battery door shut to seal the camera, then take it out of the bag. The air inside the camera is then completely dry and it won't mist up inside the lens and screen when you go snorkelling!

Disappointed!
The silica beads discoloured to green over a few days. I followed instructions to dry them meticulously and yet the beads failed to return to their orange state. I tried twice more. Same result. I wish I'd saved my money. The small print: the gel pack was used in a narrow drawer, 35mm deep, to make sure that already dry old paper documents stayed in that state, (I knew it started off dry because I'd measured humidity on a hydrometer) and to give me warning if for some reason it didn't. I bought the pack because it it could be reused. Apparently it can't.

It helps keep things dry!
Not a lot you can say about these really, they're sturdy, a nice small size and do the job.My one small bone of contention is the highly optimistic drying/recharging time. It took mine more than double the stated time and I even had the oven slightly hotter than the instructions.Still overall worth purchasing if you're after re-usable desiccant.

Doesn't quite cope
We have secondary double glazing, and sadly there's an amount of condensation in one window due to a poor fit. Our estimates of the volume seem to be a bit off, because this canister can't keep up. We really need a bigger canister, so I am not blaming the one I've bought. In a smaller volume it may work well, but in our window it can't keep up.
