Works perfectly for my Hard drive and Wii U
Was having a hard time with my hard drive so that does not have its own power supply, the games kept shutting off, I bought this cable and it took care of the issue, I am ordering two more.

didn't work as hoped... might be compatibility ...
didn't work as hoped...might be compatibility problem with an old dvd drive... Was trying to make an old external dvd drive work with a laptop and in searching for resolutions, they said to use this to increase the power to the drive. didn't think it would work but gave it a try anyway for the price. it didn't work.

Does not increase amperage
I tried sourcing power from many different devices,some that output about 1 amp max and others that could put out up to 2.5 amp. I then tried providing power to some high amperage input devices, two large battery packs, an iPad Pro, and others. I measured charge throughput using my trusted USB Digital Tester, which is good for up to 5.1 amps. In no case did the amperage significantly increase and in most cases it actually went down slightly versus a direct cable for high amperage input devices. This appears to be a well built device, and music/data do flow through the blue port, but unfortunately it does not increase amperage, which is what I purchased it for. Back it goes.

Perfect. Does what I needed
Perfect. Does what I needed. Have external monitor that needed more power than one USB jack would provide. This did the trick. Plug two into PC and the monitor into the female jack. Works great.

works for a day or so, then fails.
this cable was working for about a day or so then started failing. constant disconnects and error messages. the extra power side never worked as far as I can tell.

ドラレコの電源取り出しに使ってました。 端子のメス部分(3.0側)が異常に発熱してお亡くなりに。燃えるほどではなかったです。 用途外使用なのでこういうものかと
