Great watch for anyone but especially useful for Blind man. Made well and looks nice -easy to use.

I bought this watch on Amazon to replace my previously worn out talking atomic watch, and had been pleasantly surprised and very satisfied with it overall. The plastic body appears that it may be more durable than other units I’ve used in the past, it’s operation is self-explanatory with the time and function buttons all easy to locate and learn their functions. The voice is quite loud and easy to understand, and the best feature I think is the fact that it comes with a removable band so if you’re not satisfied with the one it comes with, you can get any other similar sized band to replace it. another plus is that the side function buttons though accessible are slightly hidden to prevent accidental pushing of them if you should bump into something well working or walking. So therefore for the overall value is of operation and quality product, I am giving this a five star rating.

This watch is very good for the legally blind. Easy to use and the speaker is relatively clear only hard to distinguish a.m. or p.m. sometimes. The choice of two type bands is nice also it looks good too. Have had it over a month and seems to be very durable. It is not complicated at all the set buttons are recessed so they don't get pushed accidentally in the large button on the top is very convenient. Anyone that has a vision challenge this is very good for hearing the time and date even if you wear a hearing aid.

Be careful what you order! Check to see if your item is returnable and by what date! I ordered this watch for my visually challenged Mother on September 27, 2024. Apparently, I had only had 30 days to return. I see that the very same watch, as of today (11/10/24), is returnable until Jan 31, 2025 --more than two and a half months! Not right! The watch seemed like it was going to work for her, so I even paid to have some bands taken out. (Very large band, even though it is advertised for women.) Several family members tried to set it up for her. It stayed in correct time zone for a few days and then decided to switch on its own. Tried again, it does not stay in correct time zone. The voice is "tinny" and low volume. I had surgery and was finally able to pick it up from her to return, but Amazon says it is beyond the allowable return date of 30 days after the purchase date. If I bought this watch today, I would have a return window until Jan. 31, 2025. Read carefully!!

I got this watch in the mail today for my Teddy-Bear (husband). I just ask him how many stars he would give it and he said one. I ask why and he said, because it meets the need. I explained how the stars worked and he gave it 5 stars :) He can't see the clock on the wall at the dialysis center because he's blind. So, I thought this would make his day. It did :) It announces the time and date, and it will help him get through his days at the center easier. He says it's loud enough for him also. The big button on top is so easy for him. It looks very sleek and fits him just fine. So far the function is good. He's only had it for a few hours. I will report if anything goes wrong. Thank you for such a good product. I try to make his life easier and this watch is a huge help. It gives him a some independence. He can't take his Echo to the center with him. So, this is perfect.

I like the big top-button design and function of this ATOMIC TALKING WATCH; however, I’m very disappointed that the volume is so low and there is no way to raise the volume! I read very thoroughly the customer reviews on Amazon for several talking watches, and I chose this one because reviewers said that it has a loud volume and an announcer with a voice that is easy to understand. The clarity of the voice is fine, but the volume is too low, and since it is unadjustable, that is a real problem. I am really disappointed because I ordered this watch for a blind friend whose family is giving him a SURPRISE 90th BIRTHDAY PARTY, and I thought a talking watch would be a perfect gift for him (I bought an Echo for him a year ago), but since I don’t know how good his hearing is, I don’t know whether this watch will be the beneficial gift that I chose it to be. And I didn’t return the watch to Amazon because according to the reviews this watch is the loudest. So I decided to keep the watch, give it to him at his party this coming weekend, and hope that his hearing is good enough for him to hear the announcement of the time and date. But I am not happy with the purchase. (My teenaged son gave me a talking pen about 20 years ago, and—as I recall—it had a louder volume than this watch). The concept of this watch is ideal and could be very beneficial, but the low volume with no way to raise the volume renders the watch impractical. Lily M. James, Ph. D.

I purchased this for an elderly friend who was losing their eyesight. This works well for him! The button is easy to feel with your finger, it's loud enough to hear in a quiet room but some type of volume control would be nice. One very cool feature is press the button once for the TIME, and press it again (2x) and it will tell you the date. NOTE: IT SAYS IT'S ATOMIC, BUT IT IS NOT. Maybe they meant the watch was radioactive? There are no apparent settings to enable it to Automatically synchronize it's time with the Attomic Time Beacon (Clock) in your area. Not a major issue, but you WILL need to manually set it when the time changes or if you travel to a different time zone. Setting it is fairly easy, even without the manual for a tech-savy person. The elderly or sight impaired will need assistance. BOTTOM LINE: It works, functions well, and is of decent design. I would buy this again!

This is a really great concept, if only it was of higher quality. I am on my 3rd one for my Mom. If this one doesn't last, then I am done. She's blind and very hard of hearing. This watch has enough volume for her with the hearing aids in. They seem to be usable up to the first battery change (a year if lucky) and then not so much after that. They have improved the set up taking it out of the box, so that was good with the most recent purchase. But the bottom line is they don't last much more than a year. If you are willing to pump money out for it yearly, then I would say it is a very easy to use product.

It was easy to set the watch to the desired time. The sound was good and this made a great difference for the person for whom I bought it. A very good buy and a useful watch for sight challenged person. I recommend it. Amazon service was very good and efficient.
