Expandable system at an affordable cost
solid, easy‑to‑use leak‑detection system that offers loud alerts, a bright LED strobe, and Wi‑Fi app notifications, making it great for catching leaks early in places like basements, laundry rooms, or under sinks. It’s simple to set up, works without a separate hub, and the system is expandable if you want to add more sensors later. The main trade‑offs are its limited smart‑home integrations (Google Home only), no advanced analytics like temperature/humidity tracking, and reliance on strong Wi‑Fi coverage for consistent performance. You can set up notifications to alert you if Wi-Fi connection is lost or disabled for any reason. We have sensor set up behind toilets and around water heaters. We have switched over to the D link from another system that was $30 per sensor plus regular battery replacements every six months or so so I find this to be much more economical long-term. Pros: • Loud 100 dB siren + LED strobe • Easy Wi‑Fi setup, no hub required • Expandable system • Long water‑detection cable for wider coverage Cons: • Limited smart‑home compatibility • No temperature/humidity monitoring • Depends on strong Wi‑Fi • cable sensor doesn’t always lay flat on the ground

Major networking connectivity issues
I own 2 of the previous generation (Dlink) product. The older model works great! I needed to buy a third one and received the Aquila model. I was ok that I needed to download a new app; the set up wasn’t bad. The issue that I have is that the network connection keeps disconnecting. I had put this new unit exactly where my old unit was located. The older unit did not have any network connectivity issues for the entire time it was there…. But the new unit would lose connectivity almost every day. And it would stay disconnected for some times 15 minutes to 8+ hours. Imagine not detecting a water leak for 8 hours.. The unit is about 25 feet (7.5 m) from my Comcast router and it can’t seem to maintain network connectivity. Also, the remote unit’s battery is dead and my older Dlink units are still near full. And I bought my older units over a year before The manufacturing should fix or discontinue this (broken) product

Disappointing - Disconnects when it updates and can't reconnect to strong wifi without unplug/replug
I purchased this because I needed a water sensor with an external probe to go into a sump. My biggest complaint is It will loose it's wifi connection after a firmware upgrade even though my access point is only 10ft away. When this happens, I need to physically unplug and plug it back in to get it to reconnect! This is a bad bug that should be fixed immediately and never should have passed QA! This device uses D-link's newer smart home app called Aquila, so if you already have older devices using MyDlink app, you will probably be running two apps. Note: you must take the initial firmware upgrade when prompted or it will not update, and app leak notifications will not work. Pairing the 2nd remote device can also be a buggy experience. I don't torchure myself trying anything with Google Home anymore but can say it definitely does not work with Alexa, though to be fair, it is not advertised as such. There is an Alexa skill for Aquila, but this device is not supported.

D-Link Water Sensors are good to go!
Easy installation! And I was able to easily add additional (and affordable) sensor pods for additional protection. Definite recommend this product. The app is easy to use and administer.
