Is this a razor for a beginner? I have the de89 and cannot seem to get a close shave regardless of the blades, thought this may help my angle

I definitely have to be careful when using this razor. I will occasionally give myself a severe cut if I rush myself. The shave is as close as you can get without peeling your face like a potato. I don't recommend starting with a feather blade. Have you tried a feather on your 89?
