Great Strobe
I’ve been really impressed with the GODOX AD300Pro II. It’s an incredibly capable portable strobe that punches well above its size, making it perfect for outdoor shoots or on-location work. The 300Ws output is more than enough for most situations, and the TTL and HSS (up to 1/8000s) work seamlessly, which saves a ton of time when lighting conditions are changing quickly. What I love most is how compact and lightweight it is without sacrificing performance. It’s easy to pack, set up, and move around, which is a huge plus if you’re shooting solo or traveling. Battery life has also been solid, easily lasting through multiple sessions. Build quality feels great, and everything about it just works the way you’d expect. No real complaints so far. Overall, this is a fantastic strobe for anyone needing power, portability, and reliability in one package. Definitely worth the investment.

The upgrade that make this thing a beast!
The Godox ad300 II is a nice little upgrade from the mk1 of this same flash. Big things to consider in this new model are it’s super nice bi-color modeling light that’s around 12 watts in power and then the upgraded battery which now gives you a little faster recharge and more flashes vs the older model. Here’s a break down of the differences between the models: AD300 Pro II Improvements * Finer 10-stop power adjustment (1/512 – 1/1) with 0.1-step precision * Improved battery endurance with approx. 350 full-power flashes * 16 colour-coded wireless groups for faster multi-light setups * Upgraded colour display + metal dial for smoother control * Refined stroboscopic performance (up to 100 flashes @ 100 Hz) * Enhanced 12W bi-color modelling lamp with high CRI/TLCI * Slightly lighter overall weight AD300 Pro Strengths * Lower price point * Proven and reliable for outdoor and studio use * Strong battery life (~300–320 full-power flashes) As you can see from the list above, both flashes are great and do a good job for what they are but the v2 just ups the game and makes a great flash even better. If you’re on the fence about getting one of these, no need to wait and see, this is a great update to an already great flash! I can’t wait to add this to my wedding day work for my clients so that I can continue to push to make awesome images.

Great price for size, power and weight.
I had a AD600 MK 1 since 2022 and it has been my absolute workhouse. It's still even on its original bulb. It's still a solid strobe and kicking but the issue is , it is REALLY heavy to carry around. I've held off on upgrading to another 600 because of size and weight and then I finally pulled the trigger on a the AD300 PRO II. Granted it's half the strength but to be honest for what I do, (macro, indoor/outdoor portraits) it's plenty. The unit is so solid and lightweight it fits right in my camera bag as if it was another lens. At this point I'm still toying with the idea of selling my AD600 to help offset the cost of the AD300 PRO II. From my use so far I have not hit any issues going from 600 WS to 300 WS . For the cost of this and the power output and consistency it's a great addition for me and can even be a great replacement, we'll see. I'll add more photos to review eventually.

Absolute powerhouse—pro-level lighting in a portable package
he Godox AD300 Pro is hands-down one of the best upgrades I’ve made for photography. It’s the perfect balance of serious studio power and real-world portability. The 300Ws output is more than enough to overpower daylight when you need it, and the consistency shot-to-shot is rock solid—exactly what you want when you’re working fast and can’t afford surprises. TTL is accurate and saves time when the lighting changes on the fly, and HSS up to 1/8000s is a game-changer for outdoor portraits—crisp subjects, controlled highlights, and that clean, cinematic look even in harsh sun. Recycling is quick, the controls are straightforward, and it just feels like a professional tool built to work, not to be babied. Battery performance has been excellent for long sessions, and pairing it with a softbox or umbrella gives you gorgeous, flattering light with very little effort. If you’re shooting portraits, events, or any on-location work and want dependable, high-end results without hauling a full studio, the AD300 Pro is a no-brainer. Bottom line: powerful, consistent, fast, and extremely versatile—this strobe makes shooting outdoors feel effortless.

The best $300 I've ever spent on photography equipment.
This strobe is a game-changer. No more cords. No more speedlights, slow recharges, misfires, or dead batteries. I shoot and shoot and barely touch the battery. It cycles almost as fast as I can mash the trigger, even at full power. I bought one and ordered a second within a week. This is an amazing product.

Good replacement for my old Ad200 pro. Very compact.
So far I like it, using mostly outdoors, very compact. Bought it as my old AD 200 pro started to malfunction after 5-6 years of using... the only downside that it doesn't have built in Bowens mount so gotta buy a separate adapter. Other than that it's fine so far!

Plenty of power and the new link system is brilliant
There are endless features I love with this, the overheating of old units is solved, the new easy link to my x3 pro is seamless, and if I have multiple lights on different channels the colour coding with the led lights is just fantastic, light output is great and the 300ws is enough for bright light portraits so I can't see me needing anything more, build quality is great and overall a joy to use, I would like them to move away from the smaller godox mount to a full bownes mount but the adaters work well enough. overall a great upgrade from the previous model.

Nice light, but you do need a S2 bracket
This light is nice, but the mounting is not stirdy enough. You need the S2 bracket to conbine it with bowens mount light modifiers. But the you have to remove the original mounting option
