Can this product keep cats away from carpets?

I have 3 cats it didn’t keep them away. It just makes your carpet smell nice before you vacuum.

Can this be used on a mattress?

terrible product- incosistent- container does not allow dispersal. less than 1 star. Tried to use it once, ended up throwing entire container away.

does this work on cow skin rugs?

I do not know, but it is pretty gentle. I don't see why not.
