Great for younger kids that want to play the game without the mess!
Bought this for my daughter when she saw the commercial on TV for the game. I didn't want to get her one since the little balls would be lost in a day or two. I ran across this product and was happy to see the little balls are enclosed in a plastic shell. It's great fun without the mess or missing pieces. It is smaller than I expected, but it is a travel game and is the perfect size for a toddlers hand. The build quality is good pretty hard plastic it's been dropped, thrown, stepped on and its still holding on. Great quality game for the price!

Small game.
I couldn't decide between the travel game or the regular game. We decided on the travel one because my son wanted the one with the lid so he didn't lose the marbles... it's much smaller than I expected I figured it would be smaller than the regular size game how ever it's the same price and much much smaller. I was a bit disappointed. However my 3 year old loves it and takes it every where. In the car he even sits in the grocery cart at the store and plays with it wich makes getting groceries much easier!

Terrible.
I would return if I could. Terrible.

Awesome little game
good purchase for the price. The marbles to get trapped on the side occasionally but not so often it ruins the game. I purchased for our 7 and 5 year old to pay during a 6 hour plane trip. They had a blast. Not sure the people around enjoyed the excitement but my kids sure did. The size is extremely small and fit into my wife medium sized purse. She takes it along on doctor visits or marathon DMV waits. Great toy.

Cheaply made but fun; safe around babies!
As some reviewers have said, it is cheaply made, and the pieces you push feel dinky, so I don't know how long it will last. On the other hand, my 3 year-old adores it. He really loves marbles and had been looking longingly at the full hippos game in stores, but with a now-mobile baby in the house, I told him we couldn't have marbles for a long time. I found this, and since the plastic dome keeps everything inside, we tried it. He's young enough not to care about playing the game properly (which I suspect would be hard to do; everything rolls around a lot, and it's hard to keep the game itself still), but he does like chomping the marbles, and it has been great entertainment on road trips or while sick and stuck on the couch. I wouldn't recommend it for older kids who would want to play with rules and actual competition, but it's fun for little kids just to play with.

This is great on the road or at home
This is great on the road or at home; both my 4 and 6 year olds love it. Yes it is small, but that makes it more portable (especially if your bag is already stuffed to the brim with kids paraphernalia). And definitely an added bonus that it's all self contained…no searching for little balls!

Cute; balls can get stuck
Cute travel size game. It's nice that the balls are contained - they don't get lost and there's no choking hazard - however, sometimes they get stuck in parts of the game. It can be frustrating to play and have the balls stuck. Obviously it doesn't work exactly like the regular version, but it still keeps my two boys entertained for a little while. It also hasn't broken yet, and my 4 and 6 year old's aren't exactly gentle. :)

A so-so version of an old favorite. Don't recommend buying
I got this for my boys ages 3 and 5 to play with. They enjoy playing for a few minutes and then get pretty tired of it. The plastic bubble covering is nice so the marbles don't go everywhere. However, it feels cheaply made and already some of the marbles are getting stuck in spots that take them out of game play. Overall, I would not recommend this because it's not that fun.
