Great quality and works good!

It works well. It spins a little fast, in my opinion. The spit is very rigid/very sturdy. I haven't had to use the counter-weights, but it's nice to have them. The brackets install on the outside of the grill with the screw heads on the inside (so they don't block the grill itself), so it might block the hatch for a side burner. Oh - I think this is an issue with ANY rotisserie kit - make sure the grill is completely level or the drive motor is on the downhill side. If the handle sits lower it will work its way out of the gear box (e.g. stops turning, falls to the grill & burns on one side).

Easy to install and easy to use

Love this BBQ rotisserie. Strong, silent motor. One caveat - there is a counter balance which is held in place by the plastic rotisserie handle. This puts quite a bit of pressure on the plastic which I feel will fail quickly. Other reviewers have commented about this. By putting a 3/8" washer (I used stainless steel) between the counter balance arm and the handle, the stress load is equal all the way around. If you don't overtighten the handle this set-up should give you many years of service. Just sayin

I’m going to give one of the most genuine reviews on this. Let’s start with the idea. Rotisserie goodness at the convenience of your home. Sounds great. In theory...I’m what you would call a “grill master” not formally or anything but my friends don’t leave my cookouts hungry or unhappy. Friendsgiving was coming up and I wanted to do something epic. Along came the idea of the rotisserie turkey. Brined and smoked with cherry wood.... The execution. 10 minutes into setting everything up the handle on the end of the spit broke. (Just like everyone else’s) my grill was on the verge of being too big. Wasn’t able to effectively use the counter weight as it took up too much threading space. Being the grill master I am...didn’t really need it. My 13lb bird was absolutely perfectly balanced. The little rotisserie motor was trucking along great. Highly recommend using a pair of CLEAN needle nose to really clamp down the little forks onto the spit to keep your bird from sliding. Tie it up to, not too tight. Something similarly to a sensual bondage sesh. Throw some wood chips in a pouch of foil over direct flame (I’m using a gas grill) and you’ll get a nice tasting bird(or anything) The end result. Amazing tasting bird, good times were had. Wish the handle wouldn’t have broken before getting to even use it. Spit gets very hot.

After returning other Rostisserie Kit that felt cheap and it was one or two inches shorter then my Dyna-Glo Grill, I got this one and I am very happy with it. It looks better, feels sturdier and has more parts. I have used it three times now and it was a success. Not all grills have the same width. While unversla kits may work for many models, some of them may not be long enough for some grills. Make sure you check compability to your grill width.

I bought this for my husband as a gift. He modified one of his smokers to put it on and he absolutely loves it! I love that he can season a cut of meat, cook it on this rotisserie, and we don't have to pay more for a precooked chicken from the grocery store.

Por el tiempo que lo tengo, el motor y la espada funcionan muy bien. El problema es el mango, es de muy mala calidad, la verdad es que deberían cambiar ese diseño del mango, es la razón por la que le doy 3 estrellas.. [Dic/2025] Quiero actualizar mi opinión, porque si bien el mango fue de mala calidad, sigue fuencionando despues de los años. Me ha permitido hacer muy buenos cortes. 100% recomendable.

What I didn’t like was the black handle will not stay on. The threads on the handle do not match to the size of the retreads on the rod

It has been almost a year and I can say it has worked well enough. The handle is threaded and plastic, meaning if you loosen/tighten it too many times adjusting the weight, you'll probably strip the threads. It was quite easy. I just solved it with a 1.5" 3/8ths #16 bolt going through from inside the handle and a 3/8" #16 connecter nut to the rod. Problem solved, and it is more stable than the original. Of course, they COULD have easily done that in the factory, probably would have cost them less then the $6 it cost me to fix it.
