This is a solid bit of kit for the money, provided you’re reasonably comfortable with basic plumbing and electronics. Installation itself is fairly straightforward if you know what you’re doing, but it’s worth noting that you will need additional fittings to actually get this set up in a real-world system. Nothing unusual, but it’s definitely not fully plug-and-play. One thing worth flagging is the G1/2 thread sizing. This isn’t explained particularly well in the documentation and is a bit vague overall. We translated this to 1/2” BSP, which appears to be correct and fits perfectly fine, but this took some checking. It feels like another typical Chinese quirk where BSP and the Chinese equivalent standard aren’t clearly differentiated, and no proper dimensional reference is given. We ended up getting the vernier calipers out just to be sure. As expected with many Chinese-made devices, the instructions are very poorly translated and largely unhelpful. On their own, they’re close to useless. However, with some online research and reference to similar setups, it was possible to configure everything correctly without too much trouble. The K-value calibration is easy to access and adjust, which is a definite plus. How accurate the readings are long-term is harder to judge, but for non-critical applications it seems consistent enough. The screen is clear and easy to read, even at a glance. The temperature sensor is a nice addition, although it would have been far more convenient if it were integrated into one of the supplied components (such as the flow sensor or solenoid) rather than being a separate inline part. Still, it works as intended. The solenoid valve performs well, reliably stopping flow at standard residential mains water pressure without issue. Overall, for the price, this is very good value. Comparable commercial systems cost significantly more. It’s not polished and the documentation is weak, but if you’re happy filling in the gaps yourself, it’s a capable and cost-effective solution.
