Dell 23-Inch Screen LED-Lit Monitor, E-Series

This is a quality no-frills 23" LED monitor from Dell. Although it is certainly a basic model, it is not a bottom of line model. You should inspect the descriptions of monitors very carefully and look for the following features: -Built in DC inverter (Yes, some models have external AC adapters which I think are ridiculous. Avoid these!) For this monitor, just plug in a standard computer power cable and that's it! -VGA input (Yes some monitors have done away with this standard as well. I recommend looking for this feature to give yourself the flexibility just in case) The brightness, color representation and sharpness are all excellent quality. I use this monitor for spreadsheets, movies and photo editing. So size and quality are very important for my work. In this respect, I am very happy with this monitor! This monitor does come with a built-in stand but it is pretty basic, and only has some tilt (no swivel or height adjust). You can purchase a separate stand that does these things if you need it, but frankly I'm fine with what it does. (Stands can be very expensive). 5 stars! A quality no-frills monitor!

There is a big black area on the right side of the monitor. Very bad quality!

I bought three of these and they work great. My vision is poor and the resolution has helped me out. I would buy more of this same one if I had room on my desk.

This is definitely a solid monitor. I purchased this monitor as a second monitor in a dual-monitor setup. My other monitor is also a Dell 23" monitor. I believe the model number on it is U23... instead of E23...(which this monitor is). When I purchased this monitor, I looked at buying another one that was exactly the same as the one I was already using, but there was a pretty significant price difference between the two. Considering the price, I decided to go with the E23 instead of getting another one like I already had. Looking at the two monitors side-by-side, it's clear that this one isn't as high-quality as the other one, but I adjusted the monitor's settings to try to match up with the other monitor as closely as I could. It still doesn't quite look as great as the other one, but it's honestly not a huge difference. The main difference seems to be the boldness of the blacks. When I look at this monitor on its own though, without directly comparing it side-by-side with the more expensive one, it looks great. I'm sure there are lots of monitors out there that will look better than this one, and cost a lot more than this one. It's not really fair to compare this directly with another Dell monitor (or any other monitor) that costs over twice as much... Overall, for the price, this is a really good looking monitor that I probably would've given 5 stars if I didn't (unfairly) compare it side-by-side to a higher-end Dell monitor.

Very nice monitor. Real glossy, and tiny bezel makes it look very modern. Picture quality is great. Might be a problem if you have a window or light source behind you, but... I don't. So I love it.

Item was not completely functional and has a huge line running up and down the screen. I purchased it some time back and never checked when I got it. Past my return window now so I’ll use it as it is. My fault for not checking. Lesson learned. Purchased from Amazon warehouse so quality control should have caught this. I love Amazon but really this wasn’t a good experience for me.

Considering DELL's positive reputation, I purchased 3 of these monitors finding that one failed within 12 months with sufficient pixilation disrupting acuity over the screen. This monitor has served my needs well, and its options, colors presentation and crispness are very good for a low end monitor, but at this rate a 33% failure rate has occurred, Depending on your need, you may want to consider other LED monitors in your search as well.

The screen images are only good if viewed looking directly (perpendicular) to the screen. If viewed just slightly from an angle (for example, the monitor is placed a touch below your angle of vision because it sits on a desktop and you are looking somewhat down at it) the color, the definition, and the brightness are effected significantly. When viewed in a direct right angle line from eye to monitor, images are OK. But what can you expect for a monitor at this price. A higher rated (and higher cost) Dell monitor performs much better.

These were on back order when i ordered 2. However they arrived a week late as opposed to 3 weeks later. Great quality, box has everything you need to get started and good 3 year warranty with Dell.

Ayant été victime de l'obsolescence programmée chez une marque coréenne (2 moniteurs identiques achetés en même temps, victimes de la même panne à 6 mois d'intervalle, après 4 ans d'utilisation), j'ai décidé de revenir vers Dell. En effet, tous les moniteurs de cette marque, y compris ceux vieux de + de 10 ans sont toujours en fonctionnement. Le seul défaut de ce modèle vient de la colorimétrie, très difficile à régler convenablement. Les couleurs ne sont pas très naturelles et les réglages, assez limités ne permettent pas une correction suffisante.

Arrived in good time, Packing damaged, however worked well, It has a really good clear picture. but now the screen goes blank at about 5 minute intervals for about 2 seconds and then continues to work. I do not know whether to keep the machine or to send it back as I live in Spain so would be without a screen for at least 2 or 3 weeks.

As described, picture quality is good
