OFFGRID by EDEC - Cell Phone Faraday Bag with Window - Signal Blocking, Anti-Tracking, Anti-Spying, EMP Protection for Cell Phones, Key Fobs and Credit Cards

Forensic technologists and the privacy-minded will likely find this product to be useful, perhaps even VERY useful. Although no extensive, forensic testing and analysis resulted in this review, the bag does enable the user to visually verify signal loss. The curious (as well as the novice user) should take note that interacting with mobile devices that are secured inside the bag can be awkward and tricky, and that this particular model does not necessarily allow for the device to be connected to USB while inside the bag. There's a different model available for that. The bag itself is made of good, durable materials, has excellent seams and although the velcro will likely wear over time, it seems to do exactly what the description says it does. For those who simply want a little privacy, it's like a certain cartoon cat's "magic bag of tricks". Connections appear to drop the device completely off the grid, as also noted in other reviews here. Truth be told, I'd love to see a forensics expert's full and extensive opinion on exactly how sound this product really is. Tested on iPhone (1, 3, 3GS, and 4) and Android (HTC, Samsung) devices. Happy Mobiling (or Not?)! ;)

This bag works as intended, perfectly! I tested my black hole bag on two cell phones (Windows and Android on AT&T), a home cordless phone, a Baofeng radio, and a tablet. Wifi, 3G, and cellular services were instantly blocked on the cell phones and the tablet. GPS services also seemed to not be functioning on the Windows phone when in the bag (goodbye Cortana!). The Baofeng radio lost radio station signal when placed in the bag, and my cordless home phone ceased to work in the bag, even the page function.

This is a great quality bag, it definitely works. It blocked cell phone and wifi signals from my Android phone in my house and my car. The only thing I would suggest is a smaller profile for everyday use, this seems to be your smallest one but it's still a little big for one phone

Our executives use these when they travel to other countries. Edec made it pretty easy for us to buy the bags on a regular basis but sometimes we direct our execs to get these on Amazon. Anyway, they asked for an unbiased review but I think they know we're pretty happy with them. We use the window bags so we can see the device inside and make sure there's complete signal loss. Our guys are used to using the bags now and I know they appreciate what they do. We initially tried a number of others but these were the best by far. Just a good quality product that is absolutely worth the cost.

This item seemed impressive ? However After trying several times it does not block GPS from tracking. It does block wifi, not the The GPS !!! Not useful to buy.

This item does NOT consistently block RF signals. When a cellphone is placed on the bag, my experience is that it still connects to the cellular network about 30% of the time.

It does block all signals as advertised, however, there is no window to see the device inside the bag and if its operational. The pictures are misleading and the description doesn't address this. This is just another indictment of society and how the ends justify the means.

I use this to shield my dexcom G5 receiver to avoid communications with the transmitter (this skipping the two hour warm up on sensor restarts). It works perfectly! Awesome for this use.
