Highly Recommended boot provides better fit than many others
Highly recommend this walking boot if you have to wear one. It was BY FAR more comfortable than some of the other boots I tried. What I like about it:-Relatively smaller height difference with most thicker-soled tennis shoes-Straps are very easy to thread through AND can easily adjust the angle of the strap for better fit across the foot, ankle, or leg-Strap across the ankle is a little narrower, so it is less uncomfortable while giving better fit/support-Pneumatic function is very easy to pump up, adjust, and deflate without putting excess pressure across your shin-Metal side supports don't put excess pressure around the lower leg resulting in decreased leg discomfort while you're protecting your foot-Less expensive than many of the other boots available onlineWhat I don't like about this boot- the liner is a bit skimpy around the foot and needs to be pulled tight in order to get the Velcro to overlap fully-This boot has a little less of a rocker bottom compared to other boots due to the smaller sole, but I felt it was worth the trade off to be more level with normal shoes-This boot (as well as pretty much any boot made to fit either right or left foot) offers no real arch support, but this can be solved by adding an over-the-counter arch support (Spenco or similar brand) into the boot.-Leg Velcro straps are a bit long and can't be trimmed due to design-Not made in the US, although the quality is excellent and it is holding up very well after a couple of weeks of continuous wear.

Life saver
This thing was a total life saver! I dropped a weight in my toe in January and was pretty immobile for a few weeks. I couldn’t get to an urgent care or a doctor because I wasn’t able to drive so I found this on Amazon. Let me tell you….i would not have been able to get around without this book. Once it arrived I was easily able to get up and down the stairs, take the garbage out, and I even went back to work. I am so grateful for this thing and I’m keeping it in storage in case I need it again (god forbid)I wear a size 5.5 shoe and the small was fine. The padding prevented too much pressure on my ankle and it wasn’t super heavy. Amazing quality!

Works well!
I left my orthopedic office being told I had to find one the same day, theirs was $300. Being out of work from surgery, this was NOT feasible for me and this was the only thing I could find. It can within less than 24 hours and has worked wonders since! I had an open reduction ankle surgery for anyone was curious

Very Good For The Price: Beware Sizing For Wide Feet!
Boot Size: L, then XLMy Foot Size: 10-1/2 4E, Men, USHeight/Weight: 6', 250 lbI am wearing this for a badly sprained ankle. It certainly has done the trick for keeping the foot and ankle padded, immobile and protected.SIZING ISSUE:According to the size chart, as a 10-1/2 4E, the large (L) was what I needed, and that's what I got. After wearing it all day, my foot hurt overall in the way one's feet hurt from wearing shoes or boots that are juuuuust a bit too small. I'm embarrassed to say it took me a couple days to realize it was the width. So I ordered the XL, which is what I'm wearing now.The XL is perfect for my double extra-wide Flintstone feet. The hard shell part of the boot goes a good two inches past the end of the padded part, so I just need to be a little careful to not get it hooked on something, but that was also true of the large.Overall fit, Large: the foot part of the padded liner just barely had enough room to velcro the flap in place without it being too tight. After strapping in to the hard shell, the heel was also a hare too tight.Overall fit, XLarge: there is plenty of overlap in the foot flap of the soft liner to get it however snug or loose I need it, and once the liner is on, and I'm strapped in to the hard shell, there is a world of difference. There is a lot more leeway for overall adjustment. On the large, it was so snug overall, I never messed with the inflatable part. On the XL, I have it just slightly inflated, but not even sure that's necessary. The XL is quite comfortable.Summary: Two thumbs up. I'm not a doctor of course, but for sizing it seems better to err on the side of a little big than small, because it won't be long before the whole foot is sore, which stinks on top of a sprained ankle. Also, considering the price compared to getting one from an orthopedist, I'm very, very happy with it.

Walking Boot
I broke my ankle two months ago and this boot has been a life saver. Since my ankle was so swollen I went up one size after reading other reviews. Would definitely recommend it.

Hurts
I broke my foot (5th metatarsal) in October. After surgery and a wearing a cast for 4 weeks, I was able to start using a walking boot. I chose this boot because of reviews here. After wearing this boot for 3 weeks, I decided to buy another without the air pump and with a wider base. This boot is too tight on my foot and after a few hours my foot would really hurt from being squeezed. It felt like the boot was pushing right where I fractured my foot; pushing right on the surgery wound. Also, the air pump has a valve behind it that pushes up against my leg. The valve created a sore on my leg. If you have skinny calves the “sock” should wrap where the valve overlaps one side of the “sock” and you should be protected from the valve. But, I have wide calves, so wrapping the “sock” tight enough to prevent the valve from rubbing was uncomfortable and then created a line around my calf. I’m not obese or overweight, just have big calves. Also…I didn’t realize how heavy this boot is until I bought another. Yes, this boot is heavy. Good qualities of this boot: great Velcro, it’s very sturdy, the bottom is slip resistant, and the air pump does work well to secure the ankle. If you don’t have a 5th metatarsal fracture/wound and have skinny calves and don’t really mind the weight, this boot will be just fine.
