Animal Handling Gloves, Bite Proof Double Leather, 22in Grey-Black

First stress free capture of my cats for the vets in 6 years! Thanks so much, not so much as a scratch or bite mark on me. They'll come in super handy for claw clipping too, with a good amount of dexterity still available whilst wearing the gloves.

10/10. Without these gloves I would have no skin on my hands, fingers; or arms. Like literally these gloves are amazing. They are without a shadow of doubt the best thing I ever bought.Once upon a time, I tried trimming my cats nails, she hated it. No matter what conditioning I tried to do, treats, calm, one by one, slow and steady, nothing worked. My arms would bleed, my fingers trapped in her claws. Her bunny kicks would deliver the final blow, and I’d have to give up. My hands and arms would look like a mommy. Then I got these gloves, my parents laughed at me for buying falcon gloves, but I knew, they would save my skin (literally). Now, she still kicks, bites, scratches, hisses, growls and looks at me like I killed 9 generations of her kin. But at least I can trim, 3-4 nails on a bad day, and 8-9 on a good day. All while without getting a single scratch on my arms.And she is one happy kitty after getting treats.They are thick, fit big enough but small enough to not fall off, they are so durable and are great quality. Some people use it for wildlife, I use it for a rescued domestic 4kg white short hair cat who hates her nails trimmed.

I had to hold the cat to cut out bits of her fur that became tangled. She will not go to a groomer but it had to be done. Although she tried to claw me her sharp claws did not penetrate at all.

They do the job keeping the fingers safe from bite punctures and scratches. But even if our little Yorkie type dog bites, you still feel the pressure of the bite. I’ve retro fitted hard card tubes into the end of the fingers, which helps disperse the pressure. I don’t think they would be suitable for a much larger dog as it’s the crushing pressure of the bite on the hand and fingers which could cause bad bruising.

Have used these with handling my dog (chihuahua) in stressful situations such as the vets, as he can lash out. Dog is unable to penetrate the thick material and I remain unharmed

These gloves have been a literal game changer. Resistance play with an energetic German Shepherd was fun but resulted in me getting lots of cuts and bruises. I tried tough gardening gloves but they just got blooded on day one.Getting these gloves has stopped all cuts & 90% of bruises. Additionally we can take the level of the game up 2-3 notches, as I'm confident I won't get hurt.The gloves have been a great investment, tough, and really good quality.

I bought these gloves in the hope that they would provide protection whilst cutting back several Pyracantha bushes with thorns the size of skewers and as sharp as a needles.Over the years I have tried many leather “thornproof” gloves but none of them worked very well, and the best ones were extremely stiff in use. During the extensive cutting back four large bushes and the shredding of the cuttings I never received a single stab or scratch whilst wearing these 16 inch gloves – something that has never happened before. Furthermore, the length of the glove completely protected my lower arms without a single scatch. This excellent level of performance was achieved without the glove being excessively stiff – in fact they were more flexible than many of my old gloves due the way parts of the gloves employ a differing number of layers and materials on the various areas.In all they provide superb protection and if they work with Pyracantha they will work with all shrubs, such as roses. They are fully recommended for all gardeners handling any plants with thorns.

These gloves are definitely well-made—thick, tough leather with reinforced padding, and they feel durable enough to handle some serious claws or beaks. At 22 inches long, they offer excellent forearm protection, which is great if you’re dealing with larger animals or ones that tend to lunge or scratch high.That said, they weren’t quite the right fit for my needs. I found them a bit too bulky for handling smaller or more delicate animals, like birds or reptiles where you need more precision and sensitivity. The stiffness made it hard to get a good grip without feeling clumsy.If you’re dealing with larger, aggressive animals like big dogs or raptors, these would be ideal. But for finer, more controlled handling, they might be a bit overkill.

Gants très solides, et comme ils montent assez haut sur les avant-bras, on est bien protégé (utilisé lors de brossage un peu énergiques d'un chat à poils longs, à qui l'opération ne plait pas trop si ça dure...). Point d'attention : les griffures et coups de crocs du chat ont provoqué un petit effilochage de surface (quelques millimètres chaque brin) qui fait un peu lépreux et qui est difficile à supprimer.Utile également pour du jardinage, par exemple pour couper des ronces, on peut les prendre à pleine main sans crainte (l'épaisseur est un peu excessive pour tenir le sécateur, mais ça fonctionne).

These are an absolute must for the avid animal trapper and feral cat handler. I have been bitten by the best of the feral cats and I only ever felt slight pressure. Never a puncture to the skin or any damage to the gloves themselves. They are a bit cumbersome for fine work or where you would need dexterity. But the comfort of knowing you are protected is worth the trade off. I actually have three pairs: two 22 inch and one 16.
