Great book
I bought a few books like this for homeschool and this one has been my favorite by far. It’s organized in a cohesive way that builds the skill level as you go, slowly introducing concepts. I love that I can just open it up and rip the next page out without having to over explain anything, as it’s so well formatted, definitely recommend! (I use my with son who is in Kindergarten, we do this together)

Good for homeschool
We love these Daily Geography books. This one is a bit confused because it asks my barely reading and writing Kindergartner to do reading and writing in maybe 20 percent of the assignments, so I have to read and scribe for him. It would be nice if it was designed to be read to the child (like color this, find that, instead of write in the name of this place, but some of the assignments are like that). On the other hand, the work is a bit simple - he already knows all the landforms, like plain, volcano, island, ect. But it leaves out new ones, like sand dunes or peninsula that would be useful. But it is still a solid intro to maps using familiar places to kids and we had fun coloring the continents and talking about them. Great series, still worth it.

I am really excited to use this product with my rising second grader, upon looking at it at delivery it is super simple for her to understand and learn

easy to understand
The concepts in this book are clearly presented, in an easy-to-understand (for a child) format, with each activity being directly related to the concept being taught. The pictures are clear (black and white drawings) and relative to each lesson. Instructions are simple and easy to comprehend for a young child. The only issue with this book (and many others that try to span multiple grade levels) is that the information advances too quickly. I suppose if one completed a single page each month for the span of K-2 it would be perfect, but the activities sutable for a kindergartener would certainly be boring for a second grader. The book works well for my family as we modify activities and have multiple grade levels learning from the same book. I would recomend the book, but suggest that it not be used as the single source of geography education for your child unless you only plan to use it once in a while.

Extremely pleased with this book for ages 4-6.
This Geography book is a huge hit with our 4 year daughter. I was unaware of this book, and first tried "The Complete Book of Maps and Geography" grades 3-6; hoping it could be adapted to daughters needs. That book will indeed be great for us in 2 years, but the activities contained too many writing requirements for a 4 year old. The activities in this book are of excellent educational value, yet daughter enjoys them so much she requests more. We learned about reading maps the past few days; today she excitedly insisted on drawing her own map. Due to cutting activities, you will want to copy pages, rather than do activities directly in the book. For young children, the Dr. Seuss educational book on maps is a great accompaniment for the first section of this workbook. This geography book gets a home-school Mom A+ rating, from a former high school teacher with MS in Educ. Administration and Leadership with experience in writing curriculum:) This is solid educational content that is engaging for teacher and student. I also highly recommend the "cut and paste" math, language arts and science learning series for children ages 4-6. A NOTE to look through the whole book when it arrives to see how content is organized, and which content is appropriate for your child's current level. Activities are grouped by subject matter rather than by a progression of difficulty.
