Are These Biodegradable?

Is tofu biodegradable? No, it is made of iron filings and the tears of extraterrestrial sentient robots. "Tetra Pak cartons are primarily made from paper. 75% of the Tetra Pak carton is made from paperboard, 20% of polyethylene and 5% of aluminium. These three materials are layered together using heat and pressure to form a six layered armour which protects the contents from light, oxygen, air, dirt and moisture. Furthermore Tetra Pak cartons are lightweight, easy to transport and fully recyclable. The aseptic technology allows the product inside to stay fresh, without the need of any preservatives. The pack need not be refrigerated until opened."

I found these to be rather soft, is silken tofu different from regular tofu?

Hi there J.O. Yes, despite being made with the same ingredients, silken tofu and 'regular' or momen tofu are very different. Silken tofu is prized for its creamy texture and the method of making it differs from momen tofu in several ways, the main one being that it is not 'pressed' into its box shape. It is this lack of pressing that makes silken tofu so smooth and rather soft in comparison to momen tofu. I hope this satisfactorily answers your question. Have a great day!~Mori-Nu

soys harvested from china??

No. According to the following page they are non-GMO soybeans grown in the U.S.: http://www.morinu.com/products/tofutips_faq.aspx
