Ghost rings are very effective sights. The reason I rated it poorly was the sight did not fit the existing CVA sight ramp. The sight was advertised for a CVA muzzle loader but doesn't fit. If you are intereste in a ghost sight for a CVA rifle make sure you order the sight and ramp together.

Ordered this ghost ring sight for the new Ruger 9mm PC Carbine. Good news: The top half of the sight with the actual ghost ring aperture will fit on the top half of the stock ghost ring sight. The base piece had a different size dove tail. Bad news: The fire sight aperture opening is too small to match up with front sight outside protective wings for a proper sight picture. Additional information: The OEM sights are robust steel construction with hex fasteners and the fire sight is thinner aluminum construction with straight slot fasteners. Looking to see if it will fit another application.

Easy install, looks better than the traditions peep sight.

It's the only way to get the ghost ring. My Chiappa Double Badger combination gun came with a Williams dovetail ghost ring from Chiappa. I took the GR from this and replaced the rear firesight on my Savage 24 combination gun. Fits like it was meant to be there. I'll save the shotgun rib base just in case of....something.

Sadly this sight goes not fit the common standard dovetail rail (11mm, 7/16 in. ) The detail of a specific measurement should have been included in the description. To say that it fits Williams ramp (dovetail) lacks the additional needed (measurement) information that would have been most helpful for those of us who may have many of standard grooved receivers provided by the firearm manufacturers. Oh well.....you take your chances with lack of information and sometimes you win and sometimes you lose....looks like a loss!Is there anybody that makes an adapter standard (Weaver) 11mm dovetail rail to Williams dovetail?

Like the large ghost ring. Put it on a 336 in .35 rem. Obviously not as sturdy / quality as a Skinner etc., but works very well; excellent price. Put it on a Williams base that I already had on the rifle; this is a significant improvement over the plain Williams. I recommend blue-loktiting the screws because they will NOT handle being torqued hard at all, in the aluminum.

This was the perfect replacement or my CVA muzzleloader stock fiber optic sight. Just loosen the windage adjustment and take out the stock site by sliding it out then do the same to this and slide it in the same way as the other came out it works amazing.
