I have purchased my many bottles. I have a German Shepard and since giving her this supplement I can see a big change in her appearance. If you furry friend doesn't like the taste just dab a little bit of peanut butter on it. She looks forward each morning to her supplement. She takes hers when I take my vitamins every day. I bought this to help my dog with heavy shedding and she doesn't shed as much. She loves the bacon flavor. Made in the USA. I only wish they were a little bigger because she chews them up instead of swallowing. Great product and Makondo Pets are great, they send you info that is very informative and welcome. I recommend this product if you are looking for a reasonably priced supplement that truly works. Update: Since she doesn't like pills I started putting a little peanut butter on them and they are swallowed fast, works great with meds too.

I waited for a month of using this product before writing a review as it takes about a month to see any results. I couldn’t be more impressed. My working German Shepherd was constantly itching to the point of making herself bleed behind her ears. My vet gave her a steroid shot to try stop the cycle but she started itching again after only a few days. I had switched to a premium food (which I wouldn’t feed anything else) but this particular formula was gluten free. Gluten is a problem for a lot of dogs so as soon as I noticed the itching I stopped feeding gluten as that has stopped the itching on other dogs. But several years ago, I had an adult Shepherd that was being given allergy shots but he had such dry skin it would bleed just by cracking. My vet sold a vitamin B supplement then and just adding that stopped the itching and ended the need for allergy shots. Thank goodness for Amazon and all the products they carry so I could research the choices and this is the one I chose and will continue to use as long as she doesn’t start itching again but no sign of going back to that. No problems getting her to eat it at all. Her coat wasn’t in bad shape before but after a month of this it is noticeably thicker and longer and her skin is soft with no itching. Skin conditions can be very hard to diagnose so sometimes it takes multiple tries of different things. I am so relieved that this was her cure. Thank you to the company that makes such an excellent product. Don’t change anything!

i got my Boxer from the Human society is was in very bad shape , had Kennel cough and numerous skin problems. The vet put him on medication for his kennel cough and an expensive capsules for his skin irritations and said that he would have to be on these for life and the reason he was on the street maybe because of all these skin problems. Instead of continuing using these expensive capsules I did some research on Amazon and found your product, His fur has completely changed and has filled in and growing longer and no longer is scratching himself and has a great shinny coat.. I am so happy with this product and i will continue to use your product. Thank you from both me and Burlap.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this is a good product. It’s making Gigi’s poops really firm and healthy looking, which I didn’t even buy this for. I think it’s working on Gigi’s itchy dermatitis and a hot spot in her paw. She has skin allergies that we were always taking her to the vet for and getting charged $300. The bottle isn’t finished yet but I think it will have more positive results.

I am giving this product three stars because I'm sure it's a wonderful product but my dogs won't go within 10 feet of this bottle. I'd open the bottle and show them one of the capsules/pellets, they sniffed it once and acted as if I was going to poison them. I gave it another day and attempted to retrieve the bottle from the cupboard and they automatically knew what I was reaching forward and hit the road.

I normally don't write reviews unless a product exceeds my expectations, and this supplement does. My poor dog was shedding like crazy. I've had my share of dogs over the years, and none shedded like she does. Since she is mostly white, "with some chocolate areas on her body" you could actually see the pink pigment of her skin. I was told my Staffordshire-Terrier/Labrador mix has alopecia, a disorder in dogs which causes it to have partial or complete hair loss. I was also told there was not much that could be done, as it is similar to male patterned baldness. I tried dog foods for healthy hair and coats, and she broke out in hives. So I put her back on Science Diet. The food she has been eating since she was a puppy, and when I adopted her at six months of age. I decided it wouldn't hurt to give Makondo Pets Skin and Coat Daily Supplement a try. First let me tell you while my dog like the smell, she does not like the taste. I break the tablet into four pieces and have her swallow it. Hiding it in treats, or grinding it and adding it to her food wouldn't work. She refused to eat it. So I taught my dog if she takes her pill, she will immediately get her favorite treat Canine Carry Outs. At first this didn't seem to be doing anything, "but since it had 60 tablets in a bottle" I figured I might as well finish off the rest of the tablets. It was almost a month and a half later that I noticed I wasn't being covered in dog hair every day, and I was forgetting to brush her with the Furminator brush I bought. When I vacuumed I could see there was virtually no dog hair in the carpets, and I could actually run my hand down my dogs back without winding up with a hand full of hair. This stuff really works, even if it my dog doesn't like the taste. I was afraid this summer I would have to limit her outside time, for fear of her getting sunburn. Now that worry is gone, and we can enjoy the warm weather when it finally decides to arrive in the midwest. So if you do try this supplement, don't give up too soon. Give your dog one tablet every day, for the entire two months supply you receive. Yes, $20.00 might seem expensive, but that's for a "two months" supply. I believe my dog's health is worth $10.00 a month. Also, since I buy Science Diet Dog Food on Amazon, "because it's cheaper than anywhere else I can find it" and they raised their minimum free shipping rate, I can still get free shipping. I just order her food and supplement one month, "then skip a month" and order her food and two bags of her favorite treats the next month. Perfect! Discovered this product almost 2 years ago and we LOVE IT. My American Eskimo (now 9yrs old) never had that beautiful long hair like eskies are known for and it always saddened me. Due to her stiff coarse like hair, dry skin, and EXTREME shedding we always groomed her to be short haired, not long and pretty like I wished for her. Since she started gobbling these I am happy to announce she gets compliments like CRAZY and people try to do a quick pet in public and end up stooping low to keep petting her soft long hair! I'll admit I strayed away a couple times to try other skin supplements at cheaper costs, just because I thought any skin supplement would be better than none-WRONG. A month after switching each time my eskie would be getting hot spots, and constantly itching/shedding. One time I forgot to reorder and had to wait 3 weeks to get my replenishment and she was like a walking snow globe!?!?! She was flaking severely, like I almost took her into the vet. Although right at the start of that week she visited the groomers and maybe it had to do with the a new shampoo treatment they used, but let me say....once I got my Makondo pills back in her, it took maybe a couple weeks to completely heal her to the usual non-shedding/softness/no dry skin self! Everyday moving forward with those pills there was improvement. Will be a lifer on this product for sure! I spread the word on this whenever somebody asks how my dog is so soft, can't believe it took me this long write a review!

I have a large breed dog -Great Pyranese/German Shepherd/St. Bernard mix - 125 lbs. So you can imagine the shedding between all these breeds. Two issues - MAJOR SHEDDING! and skin infections from bacteria/fungus. His skin was so bad it was flaking. Other issue is we think he has some kind of allergy from the skin infections so we can't feed him a bunch of stuff - like Salmon Oil which I know is great. So after reading the reviews I decided to try these, at least for the shedding, you can't imagine how much hair he sheds. He gets two pills a day due to his weight so I give him one in the AM and one in the PM. I aslo bought the Probiotics for Dogs - sold here on Amazon to help his immune system. He has been on these pills for about 3 weeks. I also use the furminator on him, which helps. I just brushed him and got only 1/2 brush full! I was AMAZED! I didn't think anything would cut down his shedding but I'm a believer now! He eats the pills no problem I just throw them on top of his food. If you have a dog that is driving you nuts with shedding here are some things you can do: 1. Make sure he is on GOOD dog food, grain free, good source of protien (Acana, Orijen are great foods) 2. Give him this supplement 3. Put him on a good Probiotic for Dogs (they sell on Amazon) 4. Use the furminator brush on him at least once a week 5. Buy a blow dryer for dogs - they have an inexpensive portable one here on Amazon -this gets rid of a TON more hair after you give him a bath, it really helps. These are the things I have done for my dog and I think it really made a difference so I wanted to share. Hope this helps!
