The MKII contains both the long and short arca-swiss plate, while the MKI just has the single long plate.

Q: Does this have friction control?

Hello, Sorry No Friction Control on the model. However, I hasn't had any issues for the last year. Its for my Fuji 100-400 and at times with my i.4x teleconverter.

It may. The base of the Movo GH800 MK11 is a little more than 2.5" so your tripod should need a base to handle the gimbal. I checked your tripod model but no specification. It looks light duty. Remember the Movo is 2.5lbs plus you need to figure the weight of your camera and lens. I think the weight limit on your tripod is 9lbs.
