An Absolute Miracle!
My 7 year old son has had eczema since he was a baby and it has been a battle from day one. I was told by his doctor that he has a mild case and I am horrified for those people that are considered to have severe eczema because it is a non stop battle for my son. The back of his hands are always red, the back of his legs always have a raised red, scaly, itches spot about the size of a softball. The back of his elbows are always scaly and so are the sides of his torso. He has a prescription for a steroid cream that does work but it is expensive and once I start using it on him, I have to slowly ween him off of it which can be a pain! Back in September, the back of his right leg had a flare up and I tried everything from oatmeal baths, Jerguns, Gold Bond, bleach bath, everything and it was getting bigger and redder and my son couldn't stop itching. I put gloves on his hands at night when he went to bed to prevent him from scratching and still I couldn't get it to clear up. I HATE having to put steroid cream on my child - I know it isn't the same thing that athletes use but still who knows what the long term effects are! I was in Wal-Mart about 3 weeks ago and I was searching for something and I ended up knocking several items off the shelf and they landed in my basket. As I was putting the items back on the shelf, I noticed that one of the items was the starter kit that contained the body wash, cream, and anti-itch cream. I read the lable and thought "Might as well give this a shot". Took it home on a Sunday night. Bathed him with the body wash, applied the cream immedately after the bath and the next morning befoe he went to school I applied the anti-itch medicine to help prevent him from scratching. When he got home from school that night, I looked at his leg and I noticed a big difference already. I kept my excitement to myslef because I wasn't sure if this was a fluke. So I again bathed him with the body wash, applied the cream immediately after bath, and the next morning applied the anti-itch cream before going to school. I was floored when I was ready to give him his 3rd bath! The scaliness had smoothed out, the redness was now a pink color and the edges of the spot were diminishing. I asked my son how did his leg feel and he replied that it didn't itch like it had been. I almost cried! I repeated the steps each night and every day it got better and better. On Saturdays and Sundays, I made sure to applie the cream throughout the day and by the time a week had gone by - his spot was almost gone! The backs of his elbows and sides of his torso no longer feel scaly the backs of his hands are now pink and soft. He is not scratching anymore and he tells people that we found a cure for his leg! I can't call it a cure but it has been a miracle! I went out and bought the full size body wash, 3 tubes of the cream, and a tube of the anti-itch. I took a bottle of the cream along with the small tube of anti-itch cream that was still left over from the start pack to my son's school nurse and she applies this to his leg everyday. I am just amazed at this product! I would suggest giving this product a try, no matter how mild or severe your eczema it because even if it doesn't completely clear it up - it helps more than anything else that I have found. Thank you Neosporin! UPDATE: Today is 05/21/2012 and I have still been amazed by this product. I have found that if I skip the body wash and use just the cream that it doesn't work as well - it is the combination of the two that seems to do the trick. I have started switching between his regular body wash and Neosporin body wash every other bath and still his skin is staying clear. It has been so wonderful for him. On a side note, I know this is for eczema but after watching how wonderful this product worked on my son - I tried it on my feet. I do NOT have eczema but my feet were so dry and would crack and bleed and it would be painful to walk. I was so embarrassed by my feet that I would never take my shoes off when other people were around. About a month after I started using this on my son, I started washing my feet with the wash and then would apply the cream, put socks on and go to bed. When I got up in the mornings, I would apply the cream to my feet before I got dressed. When I got home, I would remove my socks and shoes and would apply the cream again and put on different socks. I repeated this process for two weeks and I was stunned by the results. The dryness went away, the cracks healed, and the hard rough spots softened considerably. I continued for another week and was amazed at how normal my feet felt AND looked. I now only use the products on my feet once a week and I don't have to wear socks to bed anymore or change my socks when I get home. This wash/cream not only helped clear up my feet but also is helping to keep them clear. Since I was using this for a different condition than eczema - it took much longer to see any results but it still worked. I know this is intended for eczema issues but I felt compelled to share my personal experience with this product.

A Little Shocked
I periodically develop atopic dermatitis, in the form of perioral dermatitis. I'm very fair skinned, blonde and the red marks and bumps sit in bas relief against my skin. Really, so attractive. Typically, I have to take antibiotics for it to clear up. Approximately 8 weeks ago, I started developing a perioral rash near my nostril. I immediately started using topical antibiotic cream, stayed away from steroids (which can exacerbate it) and backed off on all heavy duty facial creams. Despite my care, the rash slowly spread. I would be at work and feel a little sensation on my skin, and sure enough, another area of rash would appear. Awesome. By this past Saturday (June 9th), it had spread around my mouth and onto my chin. It wasn't quite as red and full of little bumps as per normal - which I am attributing to my careful and immediate treatment with antibiotic cream - but it was becoming clear that it would not resolve itself. The rash that appeared first was still there. Not wanting to go on antibiotics, I tried one last ditch effort - and searched "anti eczema cream" on Amazon. This Neosporin Eczema Essentials" cream and body wash popped up. I read the reviews, and thought, "Well, it won't likely make it worse." I paid extra for rush shipping. and it actually arrived (surprise!) on Monday, instead of Tuesday. My face was driving me crazy, so I ran right upstairs and used both the facial wash and the colloidal oatmeal cream. OH MY GOODNESS. Almost immediate relief for the tightness/scaling (which caused itching) and the redness/inflammation was significantly reduced. I thought, "no way, this won't continue." That was Monday. Today is Thursday. I have a few red marks left where the rash was, but there are absolutely no bumps or scales. I predict that by next Monday, no one will be able to see any residuals of my dermatitis. This is incredible. WOW. I am completely blown away, and keep going into the bathroom to stare at my face, looking for bumps. I've used it twice per day, always utilizing the foaming body wash first. What a relief that this may prevent me from having to take antibiotics in the future... Now, I am going to use the body wash as my facial wash (exclusively). It reminds me of Cetaphil lotion, which I have also used in my life. The moisturizing cream: I'm a believer, and I only hope that Neosporin doesn't ever stop producing it. Certainly my most RELIEVING product ever purchased at Amazon. THANKS for carrying it!

This medicine triggered an allergic side effect. I got it to deal with eczema appearing on the back of my hands because of a bad hand wash, but after using it overnight there is an inflamed lower lip. I discontinued using it and sticking to Neutrogina. This is very curious considering it is clinically tested and meant for daily use. However, there is one review on Amazon.com from a lady where there were adverse effects with her child. Be very careful dealing with this product. *** Revision a few days later: The dermatologist warned of such medication as they are for the very simplest cases, and likely to cause problems otherwise. My lips and face are now swollen and it has flared to other body parts also so put under steroids and antibiotics for a week. I am adding this as a warning - please contact a doctor rather than buying this medicine.
