What Mercury recommend. Better quality.
When it comes to filters, I always put on the name brand (Mercury or Quicksilver) and I like to do it every year regardless if you used non ethanol gas or not. I try not to play around with that and avoid dirty injectors. And get the special key like the one showing in the picture or you most likely will be in a world of pain.

Missing gasket
Easy install with the proper tool, but it was missing the lower gasket. For the price I paid I expected all new gasket. A little upset about that.

Mercruiser Fuel Filter
I replace this part annually on my Mercruiser 4.5l MPI as part of my fall preventative maintenance. This is the OEM part so you know it isn't going to give you problems and is cheap insurance against fuel problems. Do yourself a favor and get the proper removal tool for this easy, 5 minute do-it-yourself job.
