Q: Will it fit a 5 gallon bucket?

I think it would. I have a 4gal pickle bucket that i use it on sometimes.

Q: Is this lid difficult to remove from bucket?

It fits well enough that it might hurt your fingers trying to remove it. It seals well for fermentation. I always use a bucket opener to start opening it.

Q: What is the diameter? Can someone measure it for me?
