Yes, 2 pieces. A rubber like case the covers the phone and hard plastic shell that snaps on to cover the back. Gives a good protection and grip but still slides into shirt pocket easily!

Does this case protect against bending the iphone se? i just managed to bend a phone that was not in a hardshell case.

I have only had my phone/case for a few days, but I don't think there will be an issue with bending the phone. The case has a hard shell that goes over the rubber part of the case. It is a high quality case.

I know someone asked how slippery it is, but how is the grip when you hold it? the case i have right now (incipio dualpro i think) is really slick

I have had the gold case on my phone since it was new two years ago and the case had a very good grip. The gold part had almost a rubber coated feel to it. Very protective case. Even though there was nothing wrong with the original, I just bought a gunmetal grey case and was disappointed to find that the finish of the grey part is now very slick. Other than that they are identical but I liked the non-slippery case better.

Just received this case and it is too small for my iphone 6 se. i can not get the inner rubber piece over the phone at all. any suggestions?

That phone is too large for this case. This case fits iphone 5's. It fit my iphone se perfectly. U might want to return it and get a larger case.
