VOX For Ham Radio
I wanted a single VOX to control all of my transmitters in my ham radio setup and this looked a good candidate. I already have all of my microphones going through a single mixer so it was a no-brainer to wire a spare line level output to the input of the VAR-1. My station has a master 12 volt power supply that I used to power VAR-1 once I figured out that the power plug needed to have the negative connected to the center pin (not standard). That requirement is printed right on the unit so I can't blame Bogen. I run it with the input sensitivity set to max and the delay set to min which seems to be just about right for my application.

Exactly what I was needing for a VOX/Relay Project ...... :-)
Did exactly what I needed for a Communication Center ~ Audio Project that was expected of me; And, I had to search around the Country for something that would give me ALL the VOX/Relay sensitivity needed to switch the Relays' Off &/or On - on demand !! PERFECT !! ......
