Neutrogena Healthy Scalp Clarify & Shine Shampoo, Pink Grapefruit 12 fl oz

I was skeptical about buying this at first because of the comments about the smell. But I decided to go ahead and give it a try for my scalp. The smell at first was like a light grapefruit, but it then turned into a weird smell. I did like how well it lathered up. The weird smell disappeared when I used my conditioner. I was impressed on how soft my hair felt afterwards. The obvious thing that blew me away was how light and fresh my scalp felt! It has never felt like this, always felt as I had a film over it. I will definitely keep using this, the results are worth it!

Love the smell, I thought it was a deep cleaning shampoo which is not, but I like how my hair is clean for more days than any other shampoo, I have oily hair and cleans it and last more than expected

This is my favorite shampoo! I get so many compliments and I know it is from this shampoo. My hair feels so clean and sleek, it shines, doesn’t look brassy, and overall I feel like I just went to the salon after use. My husband always compliments the smell too!

I didn't notice that this was the version for oily hair when I made the purchase. My hair is normal to dry and this shampoo worked well. I immediately noticed the smell when I removed the cap. It's very pleasant! A small amount distributed well. It rinsed out easily and it did remove the slight lavender cast that my purple shampoo had created. Job well done! Not a 5 only because the bottle is kind of small. That being said it is reasonably priced comparatively.

I bought this shampoo mainly to use before toning my hair at home, and I’m really happy with it. My hairstylist recommended using a deep cleansing shampoo before toning to remove buildup and help the toner hold better. It has a nice, fresh scent and lathers amazingly well. I have long hair, so I usually need quite a bit of shampoo, but with this one, I only need a small amount. Once I work it into my hair, it turns into a thick, rich foam and spreads really easily. I use it every time I tone my hair at home, and I also use it whenever I feel like my scalp needs a deeper clean. It leaves my hair feeling really clean, and I love that I don’t need to use a lot of product. For me, it has become a regular part of my at-home hair toning routine.

This really works and it smells amazing. The hubby has long hair and gets greasy. It really works to fight the grease.

My favorite shampoo of all time will forever be the discontinued Neutrogena clarifying shampoo, (the one that came in the clear bottle with gray-ish writing on it). I have not yet found anything remotely similar to what that shampoo did for me, which is why I tried this one after reading reviews with many folks claiming that they do consider this shampoo a similar alternative to the one that was discontinued. Neutrogena products have always been to my liking, the hydro boost line of products will always be one of my staples so I decided to give this one a try. I don't want to say the scent is necessarily bad, I just personally don't like it at all one bit. The crazy part is, while the scent doesn't seem to be pungent or overwhelming, you will still smell it over any conditioner or style products after you use it. The beautiful hydro boost scent is non existent when I used the conditioner after using this product to wash my hair first. I just really wish Neutrogena would find a way to bring back the discontinued clarifying shampoo immediately if not sooner!!

I have been taking better care of my scalp and hair since my last baby three years ago. I noticed my hormones made my head itchy and highly uncomfortable. I would scratch but it wouldn’t stop. I would check for lice and nothing was found. I tried so many shampoos from anti fungal to head and shoulders. The head and shoulders works most of the time but after awhile, it doesn’t do its job. That’s when I use this product. A clarifying, residue stripping, gentle cleanse that starts my head back at fresh again. It’s such a game changer for me. It smells amazing, works like a charm at removing months of build up and keeps my scalp from the dreaded itch. I only wish I knew about this sooner. The way I use it is once every month or two. I can tell when my hair starts becoming more oily, heavy and not its lightweight puffy mane. Whenever it begins to feel unreasonably itchy, I use this for my hair washing (sometimes twice in a shower!) and follow with my regular H&S conditioner. Then, I don’t have to wash my hair for at least 7-10 days. Which is a true testament to how well this formula works. It doesn’t dry my hair out at all. It is the most gentle formula I’ve ever tried and again, the citrus smell is my favorite. I firmly believe this has high value for money as one bottle lasts me half a year. I haven’t yet had any issues with the bottle leaking but I’m not exactly traveling with it either. If I must travel, I’ll either shower with it the day before or use a small travel bottle. So I cannot speak in the bottle leakage bit. Overall, I will be coming back for more. As for you, I honestly don’t know. But I had a great experience and it would be worth trying if you had any of the issues I did.

I tried it for like two months, and man it's good, I am a young man, my hair has medium length, super greasy, the smallest effort, work, gym, walking or stress would create an oil factory in my head and this one definitely did the job of cleansing it. But it does dry out the hair if you wash daily like I do. So I still had to use a conditioner, one from OGX with apple cider vinegar. They work like a charm
