So far, I love this detangler. It has absolutely no fragrance and I don’t seem to be having a reaction to the ingredients. It also detangles my fine wavy hair very quickly. So it’s much easier to comb out with my wet tangle brush now- it even has a little bit of a conditioning effect, especially if I let it dry naturally for the waves and curls. I did not experience any issues with weird smells or anything like that and I hope that will continue. I’m going to order another bottle so I have a lot of. I don’t use very much because I have very fine hair. * I am updating because I forgot to mention that some of this had leaked from the bottle when packaged / shipped. I will mention this when ordering again. It needs a plastic cover to stop leakage.

This product is definitely unscented & I haven't had the problems others have mentioned of it having a fishy smell, though I've only had it a few weeks. I also haven't had the coughing problem others have had. My only issue is that it makes the mild wave/curl in my hair relax a lot. I don't know if I will buy it again because of that, but I'm still experimenting with how/when I use it. You definitely don't need much, one spray is generous for my hair which is past my shoulders and it does help tame frizz. Maybe I need to twist my hair after applying, and I have only used it on air-dried hair so I'll also be trying it while it's still wet to see if that helps with the problem of relaxing my curl.

I’m allergic to everything that I have tried on my hair. I have spent thousands looking for something that didn’t make my head itch. I love this product! It is the only styling product I am using right now and my 2b hair looks great. I use Nizoral shampoo and Cerave hair conditioner. These 3 products are perfect together.

I'll start by saying if you're looking for a natural fragrance free detangler, you're in the wrong place. This is not a natural product and it is not trying to be. It is fragrance free, but does have a little bit of a chemically smell. It doesn't work as well as most mainstream products either. However, I gave this 4 stars because it is LITERALLY the only detangler that I am not allergic to and it works well enough that it stopped me from chopping all of my hair off. I'm allergic to cetyl alcohol, which is in every moisturizer that exists for skin or hair regardless of how "hypoallergenic" the product claims to be. I tried home recipes like apple Cider vinegar and olive oil but it left my hair disgusting. This stuff does the trick and for that I am extremely thankful. If I had a choice, I'd try something else. But I don't, so after seeing how well my bottle worked, I went and bought a two pack.
