In the picture the sole was screwed in, but when I received the boots they were not. I do recommend a coat or two of mink oil just to help speed up the break in progress. Before and after picture included due to the darkening of the leather. Other then that they have been great so far!

article does not conform to the description, the sole had to have screws and the heel had to be in two colors as in the photo, instead it arrived without cites and the heel in a single piece of black rubber, not as in the photo.
