Can each of the 4 monuments stand on its own, without being attached to the big base? Thanks!

Theoretically yes, however because it is intended to fit into the large base, the individual monuments have puzzle like edges on the bottom which depending on what you're going for may look a little strange if you had standing on it's own outside if the base. Hope that helped!

Is this a one and done or can it be taken apart to store and redo later?

I am afraid it is the one-time assembly 3d puzzle model. Of course, someone made this challenge, even though it's not recommended. Taking apart may demage pieces and hard to put together again without clear number.

Is it possible to separate/cut out buildings without ruining them? Need for a diarama project...

Yes, you make each building separate and place them into a base, so it is possible to have a building out on it's own.

Great for class projects or fun

My 10 year old really enjoyed putting this together. There were a few tricky parts that required some grown-up assistance but it was used for a class project and the LED lights added a wow-factor. Recommended

Easy Cityline puzzles

The instruction booklet is easy enough for my 9-year-old grandson to understand. Most of the pieces he could assemble by himself, however, the routing of the LED wiring proved to be a little difficult. Adult help was needed in the routing and bending of the LED wires so the puzzle pieces would stay together properly.

Fun and enjoyable

We had a great time doing this puzzle. It is both fun and challenging. I was surprised at how sturdy it was. Great price point too! I did this with my 6 year old son. It’s a little too advanced for him to do on his own, but he had a great time helping. He has already requested another skyline for his birthday.

Fun for kids but

My daughter loves all kinds of architectural building puzzles. This is our third product from this company.We got the Moscow and Venice skylines.But the Dubai skyline pieces are not fitting properly on the base and the LED lights are not working. It’s little disappointing to her.
