I have been using hot rollers for years. Theses are awesome. They heat up quickly and take only minutes to create a lasting wave/curl. My hair is long and layered. The roller size is perfect. Both the claw clips and metal clips that come with the rollers work equally well. Bought case with 12 rollers.

This appliance has a polarized plug with two parallel blades rated at 120V. It's a US plug where one blade is wider than the other, meaning that you cannot use this item in the UK unless you buy a specific adapter which is not included in this purchase. Quite disappointing as this was not mentioned by Amazon anywhere. Now that I received it I cannot use it and will need to buy separately a UK adaptor...

For years, I've been doing velcro rollers or on occasion a 1 1/2 inch curling iron. I would love my hair for the first hour and then it would "deflate". I typically style my hair in a longer, "rachel" haircut. I love volume at the crown of my head. The curling iron would hold a little longer but it also took longer to style my hair. I kept looking for better hair products thinking that would help. Well....lo and behold, I was not aware of these amazing rollers. Then this box came to my door and I have now been blessed with hair that holds ALL day. I do my same routine that I did with velcro but instead use these rollers. -Very quick to heat up. I plug in when I start to dry my hair and when my hair is dry these babies are ready to go. -I put them in (taking usu a couple minutes) and do my makeup (couple min). As soon as my make up is done, I take them out. I like more of a rounded shape (versus a curl) so I really don't leave them in my hair for very long. (5 min max). -I let my hair cool a min. -Hairspray roots/tease a little -OMG...perfect hair I might fluff up in the late afternoon. I was concerned about the 2 different sizes but it really doesn't make a difference. If you want more of a curl, just leave in longer/ less curl and more rounded shaping (just like a blow out) leave in less. LOVE that this set comes with 8 so I can do my whole head at once. My only downside is now I am going to have to travel with this as it will not be left behind. Hint- to avoid the crimp with the clip, attach and then roll/slide the clip to the underneath towards the scalp. I do that to the the rollers that hold the top sections of hair. The underneath sections, I don't really care as they aren't seen. Your head will feel the weight of the curlers but it really is minimal. Hint 2-buy the silk (real silk) pillowcases, and you'll get a great 2nd day 'do.

I am so happy I didn’t take to heart some of the reviews on these curlers, but listened to the one that said anyone who criticized this set must have never used hot rollers before! They work GREAT! So small and compact, yet you get 10 nice rollers. I have layered long hair below my shoulders and absolutely love this set. It took me a few times to see which way worked best, but you need to let them heat properly with the zipper closed and give it about 10 minutes...they are lighweight, so you don’t feel like they are going to fall out easily, and the clips work great! All you have to do is come from the top and lock them into the curler. As far as tangling coming out, they almost fall out when I remove the clip, but you have to roll up nice and clean, I dampen my pieces of hair just a bit before rolling and love the small combs as you can roll your hair nice and straight without fishtails. I had purchased a Chi digital roller set which cost over $100 and sent them back...they burned my head they were so hot. This set is the best for travel too, even though I use them every day...very happy with my purchase. Made my hair so soft and bouncy and took all my frizz away! Amazing!!
