FOXWELL Car Scanner NT604 Elite OBD2 Scanner ABS SRS Transmission

I bought the Foxwell NT604 Elite car scanner from Amazon a couple of weeks ago, and it has quickly become one of the best automotive tools I’ve ever purchased. This scanner is impressive right out of the box. The build quality feels solid, the screen is clear and bright, and it’s very easy to navigate. I’ve used it on my 2018 Toyota Camry, 2015 Ford F-150, and even my wife’s 2020 Honda CR-V, and it worked flawlessly on all of them. What stands out: Full System Diagnostics – It goes way beyond basic engine codes. I was able to read and clear codes for ABS, Airbag (SRS), Transmission, TPMS, and more. Super helpful when my dashboard lights came on. Live Data & Graphing – The live data streaming is smooth and detailed. Being able to graph sensor readings in real time helped me diagnose a minor issue quickly. Special Functions – Oil reset, EPB (electronic parking brake), SAS (steering angle sensor), and battery registration all worked perfectly. Fast & Reliable – It reads codes quickly and has a very responsive interface. No lagging or freezing like some cheaper scanners I’ve tried. Regular Updates – Foxwell makes it easy to update the software via computer, so it stays current. For the price, this scanner offers professional-level capabilities that would normally cost hundreds more at a dealership. It has already saved me multiple trips to the mechanic and paid for itself on the first use. Highly recommended for DIYers and small shops alike. If you’re looking for a capable, user-friendly, and affordable full-system scanner, the Foxwell NT604 Elite is an outstanding choice. I’m very happy with this purchase!

Paid for itself just coming out of the box. Very easy to use, compatible with many vehicles. Diagnosed a bad ABS sensor,saving a visit to the shop. Eliminated the "diagnostic" service charge,then the labor and saved the parts "mark up". Easy to use,and will save your vehicle info for use later on. The real time info was accurate,and cleared all stored codes.

Worked great, with this reader I was able to find out exactly what was wrong, so I knew what part to buy… no guessing with a generic code. Half the price if I would have bought a comparable version locally

Works perfectly well to do a Full Diagnostic on most vehicles. It does not have the bidirectional testing abilities which is the next level up from this at around the Same price. But it can definitely tell you what wrong. Engine, Transmission, Brakes (ABS), Airbag (SRS) systems can be tested with this. It also does live data to show “why the transmission failed” without opening it. Can be updated and easy to use. Connects to my iPhone hotspot using WiFi so it’s an excellent value. It doesn’t use a battery but connects to the vehicles using OBD2 and compatible with all vehicles. Like I said, my only downside is No BiDirectional Testing meaning I cannot Tell the Windows to roll down, Starter to click, fuel pump to pump, etc. As a Mobile Mechanic, I use this until I can afford the upgrade; “Bidirectional testing” alone can cut a diagnostic time down tremendously for a few bucks more!

Very user friendly scanner, used it to troubleshoot several vehicles. Can't work on modern cars without a good one. My advice is avoid the cheapest ones and don't be afraid to spend a little more for a better quality scanner. Has a great storage case too.

The scanner is ok super basic I will say, but I think it has some silly features that makes no sense if I remember the f2 button doesn't have use at all, and the live function it's kinda inaccurate, for example I was scanning misfire on my challenger and it supposed to show 6 cilynder but instead was showing 8, and not even in the right order, I didn't know wich number was each one, Cuz I was looking for a misfire in bank 2 and this thing was throwing missfire on bank one apparently, so basically it's like you will work blind, for the price and use I find another one cheaper, better features and more precise, buy it at your own risk.

The short version: It has no batteries so it must be plugged in to use. Not a problem unless you want to wander around with it. For the price, I'm fine without batteries or Bluetooth. Updates happen via you PC USB port with an included Micro SD card reader over the internet. The processor is rather slow, as others have mentioned, but for the price, I'm fine with it. The UI is rudimentary but fairly easy to understand and supports multiple languages. TLDR: I have only just started using the Foxwell OBDII scanner today, 2 days after I received it. Out of the box, it wasn't working properly. The screen displayed correctly when I first plugged it in, but after browsing a few functions, all of the Icons and type disappeared. A few of the functions displayed very faint messages and I was disappointed. I unplugged and tried again. The same thing happened. Time to give support a test. I went to my order and clicked "Get product support" I tried the self help options, but they were pretty lame and of no use (at least for this product). Next I chose "Call me" and my phone instantly rang and a support person answered almost immediately. She asked for my name and knew what I was calling about. I described the problem and she had me unplug the unit and hold down the OK button for 15 seconds. I plugged it back in and my problem was solved! BINGO! Registering the unit is a quick trip to www.foxwelltech.us/register.html and updating the software and vehicle data is done at www.foxwelltech.us/support-tools.html where you can download the Windows Desktop Application and install/update it. I will have to update my review after I try using some of the features on my various cars, I have a '23 Bolt EUV, a '22 Toyota Prius, and a '16 Subaru Impreza. I'll give them a shot and add more details later. BOTTOM LINE: So far, so good. Longevity/reliability has yet to be tested.

I had a small and very cheap scan tool that just read check engine codes and had the ability to do some very basic live data logging. However I had my mother's 2013 Buick Enclave display a few error messages but no actual check engine light was on so the scan tool I had was basically useless. The messages my mom's car displayed for reference were AWD off, ABS light sensor, TC off, service Stabilitrac. I did some searching online and most ppl said it was most likely a wheel speed sensor issue...but I had to verify that somehow and this is where this tool came in clutch. For the price you honestly cannot beat this tool for all the options you with it. First off, it read my mom's VIN info instantly and automatically without having to update the software of this unit. Second, I was able to verify and identify the problem which indeed was a faulty wheel speed sensor using live data logging of all four wheels...it was actually really cool seeing live data like that. The menus in this scan tool are very simple to understand and the overall UX is great. The buttons are big and super clicky. The display is big and bright and easy to read. I ended up playing around with it just trying to figure out all the cool settings it had and the endless amount of data it could retrieve. This is an absolute must have scan tool for anyone who works on cars...even if you only work on your own car. You end up saving so much time and money using this tool as opposed to going to mechanic. Highly recommend this scanner....it is really a great bargain and pretty much gives you all the options you'll ever need.

Attention avant l'achat ! La valise manque de nombreuses options, notamment le menu "Maintenance" qui n'existe plus, même après une mise à jour.
