Hey! My mother in laws door works again. This lock looks, fits, and functions exactly as it should, albeit with a bit stiffer motion. Now that they can lock the door when out of the house, things are a bit more secure. Its very easy to install...unless you drop it down inside the door. I mean, that may have happened. If it DOES fall inside, that adds a couple more steps. Frist, remove the inside and outside door handles. Take out the two screws that hold the lock in place, then slide it out. On new one, extend the locking latch to give you something to hold. Fish it back inside the opening, line up the holes, and reinstall the two screws, put the handles back on. That's it. If you DID let it fall inside the door, you need to take the whole door off the track. On the bottom of each side, there are two screws. The bottom one adjusts the height of the wheels that roll on the track, while the top locks in that adjustment. To take off the door, loosen the top screw, then adjust the bottom screw all the way down, repeat on the other side. Lift up on the door, pulling the whole thing up and off the track, then stand it up on its side, handle side up. You'll need to take out the track slider on the latch side by removing those two screws. We used a straightened metal clothes hanger to push the latch back to where it should be, then used the hook end of the hanger to lift it enough to screw it in place. Put the handle and slider back on. To get the door back on, slip the top of the door into the top of the channel, then lift from the sides to get the slider wheels on the proper track. You'll need to adjust the height and square of the door again by means of the bottom screw. This has to be raised evenly or the door will not be square, meaning if you make 5 full turns on the left side, you'll need to make 5 full turns on the right. If the height isn't right, the door wont roll easily and the latch will not slide into the frame opening. One you get the height set, tighten the top screw to lock each side in place. Do you see how much easier it would have been if you (I) had just held on to the latch while putting it on? 5 minute fix turned into a half hour. Hindsight. Good times.

J'ai opté pour le modèle standard et très heureux de constater que la mise en place fut facile et rapide. Le produit est de bonne qualité, suite a son installation j'ai vaporiser un peu de W40 dans la cerrure pour un fonctionnement plus fluid.e

Excellent product - as described - easy to install - add a little lubricant and works perfectly. Took more time to figure out what to order than installation!
