Everything is organized nicely. There are over 100 raw food recipes in ...
Prior to acquiring this book, I knew little to nothing about raw eating, but I found the author to be very enlightening on the matter. They explained what raw eating is, the health benefits and even the pitfalls, tips for living a raw food lifestyle, faqs, and more. Everything is organized nicely. There are over 100 raw food recipes in different categories, such as breakfast, beverages, salads and soups, entrees, sides and snacks, fermented foods, desserts, and dips, dressings, sauces, and spreads. While most of the ingredients are pretty straightforward, there are a handful that I would have trouble finding at my local grocery store. The recipes are easy enough to put together, especially since no cooking is required, but some ingredients do need to soak for an extended period of time. For example, some nuts need to soak for up to 8 hours before preparing. Therefore, some of these recipes couldn't be made on a whim. Awesome Cookbook for anyone looking to start a raw food diet!
I received this product for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. I honestly love this book not many cookbook's give you detail on the nutritional benefits of eating a raw diet vs a traditional diet, and the thing is if you don't have any fancy equipment it also gives you alternative options such as if you don't have a juicer it gives an option for using your regular everyday blender and a few items to give you the same result and the scraps are used in other recipes so you get very little waste! With a useful section on how to prepare your pantry and for your meals for the week along with an entire 21 day meal plan. Each section on recipes are great i even decided i am going to try the chia puddings and a couple of the drinks even if i don't totally go raw at least try it right? this is a great book for beginners looking into a raw food diet like myself it is also Descriptive, Organized and, Helpful. It gives you all the tools to be successful on your raw diet.

Not convinced
If you are really interested in giving the "raw diet" a try, this book offers a practical and realistic approach to slowly integrating raw meals into your routine. As a vegetarian who faces digestive issues from certain vegetables, I am astounded that the author can eat the dishes she recommends without an upset stomach all the time. Marinated but raw cauliflower, blended but raw pumpkin, and spiralized but raw squash would be very, very painful for me to consume. Honestly, some of these recipes sounded terrific, if you steamed or baked them first to give your gut a little help. But perhaps I just haven't adjusted to living raw (not sure anyone would want to live with me if you know what I mean.) The aesthetic and layout of the book were great, and the format was easy to follow. I found some items to try for appetizers or snacks, and new salad ideas, but the lifestyle is definitely not for me. I prefer to eat local and in season, whereas a raw diet would demand eating summer vegetables and fruits year round for those nutrients. Flavorful Recipes
The Raw Deal Cookbook has everything you would want to know about a raw food lifestyle. The book starts off with information between a raw food diet and a vegetarian or vegan diet. A section dives into the building blocks of eating raw and what foods can enjoy while eating foods within this lifestyle. There are tips and tricks on foods you should not eat raw and whether it is safe for kids to eat raw foods. I received this product at a discounted rate in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. I found that the recipes look and sound appetizing. I can't wait to try the Kale Summer Rolls with Satay dipping sauce. The recipes have lots of herbs and spices and appear to be loaded with flavor. This book is bound to offer variety to a raw food diet.

If youโre looking to integrate more raw foods into your diet, this book would be a great help.
I appreciate the down to earth, realistic recommendations for adding raw foods into a diet plan. Instead of suggesting that we go all-in โ raw only โ the author discusses why thatโs probably not the best approach. The bulk of the book is instructions and recipes that are not only easy and healthy but flavorful and satisfying. She discusses how to soak, sprout, ferment and minimally process foods to use them in everything from snacks to beverages to main dishes to desserts โ and more - with every day ingredients and tools that you likely already have in your kitchen. Simple recipes.
Easy to find ingredients and most prepared in a reasonable amount of time. Some great tips for beginners and good reminders for long term raw fooders. She includes new twist for some foods that are not in many other recipe books. I look forward to giving those and others a try. I love her keep it simple and the healthy balance she brings to raw food eating. Eating raw does not have to be living off salads or complicated to prepare. Worth the cost and proud to add it to my frequently used favorite raw recipe books.

Best book on raw! Highly recommend!
Am I the only person who bought the book? lol I received it today and have read part one which talks about the 'how' of going raw and I think that this is one of the best books I've ever read on raw and I've read a LOT of raw books. I was raw for 12 years but wasn't doing so great and then I started eating some cooked food, and now I'm at the stage I'd like to eat more raw again. I know the feeling of clarity and lightness you get from eating raw. This book is great in that the author recommends taking raw slow and that it's OKAY to still eat cooked food, and that in fact some famous raw foodies do! It's all about finding the right balance for yourself, there are no hard and fast rules, it's your body, it's your life! I like the relaxed way this book is offered and yet it gently encourages the consumption of raw food for better health, and wellbeing. The recipes themselves are simple and there is also a detailed menu plan, something which is quite rare in most raw books so I loved this as I was looking to jog my memory on what I could eat. So, you could mix and match with the ideas presented here. Overall, I highly recommend this book! It's great for those completely new to the concept of eating raw and also offers some delightful recipes for those who've been eating mainly raw for a while.
