I can't smoke without these. They work great at filtering the toxins and make for a much smoother smoke. I don't smoke regular cigarettes anymore but rarely come to my pipe but when I do, I make sure it's got one of these filters in it. The other brands and types just don't seem to work. This is overall a great product and I'm giving it 4 stars for how much I like it overall despite the only two issues I have against them: I use a Joyoldelf pipe as well but I can't completely close it or else I can't draw in the smoke and the filter gets jammed. Perhaps a shorter filter could be made to better fit your pipes. When the filter does get jammed, it usually breaks open because the paper has soaked up enough tar that it becomes soft and then I have to struggle with getting the cap out. Perhaps a wax paper would make it less likely to break apart? I don't know. Either way, I will continue using them and I thank Joyoldelf for such an awesome filter.
