It is an excellent review and practice resource for the intermediate student
This is a workbook which summarizes the grammar of the verbal forms. It is an excellent review and practice resource for the intermediate student. It gives many examples of practical uses of the verbs. There are a few pages where the type is messed up and words are given only as unconnected letters, but it is only a handful of pages. Most verbs are fully vowelled which is helpful as you are adding vocabulary. It is a first-rate resource and it is inexpensive to boot, especially if purchased as a package with 2 other books purchased.

with a smart sense of priority
This book exceptionally well done. It pulverizes Arabic verbal complexities. There is no doubt, many years of experience and thinking is needed in order to organize highly complex information into straight forward and motivating examples. I have seen, and used many other sources. But, this one is exceptionally clear, with a smart sense of priority, combined with relevant case examples, built to attract! You, and your students, would get the best rate of return on the effort you would put to work with this book.

Great text for practicing Arabic verbs
I only just received this book in the mail, but it looks great! There are very few available resources for helping students learn the Arabic verb system, so this is a welcome addition. Furthermore, it appears to be clear and concise in its presentation, along with providing an abundance of exercises for the student to complete. One can only hope that the authors and McGraw-Hill will continue to bring out Arabic workbooks in the "Practice makes Perfect" series, as has been done for other languages, such as Spanish and German.

MUCH better explanation of verbs than Al-Kitaab, 2nd Ed.
(Wife): This book does a great job explaining Arabic verbs. It's a workbook presenting concepts one at a time with practice. Concepts are introduced in English, so there is no need to worry about learning (and then recalling) grammar concept terms in Arabic to be able to use the book. (This is in contrast to the second edition of the Georgetown University Press Al-Kitaab textbook). This resource does not come with audio files. I have not noted much transliteration, either. So, you will want to know Arabic script already. I'd say that this resource would be good after about a semester's worth of study of the language. In my opinion, other than lacking audio files, this book presents Arabic verbs and usage in a MUCH more user-friendly manner than my old second edition Al-Kitaab textbook (although Al-Kitaab did provide DVDs that definitely helped with pronunciation). I am learning a LOT more useful verbs in much shorter time than with my old Al-Kitaab text. So, unless you have access to a great, well-rounded Arabic textbook, I recommend this book for explanations and practice with Arabic verbs. Honestly, it seems to be one of the clearest and most user-friendly I've found so far.

Practice Makes Perfect Arabic Verb Tenses
I purchased this book as part of the commonly bought together three pack of Practice Makes Perfect Arabic Vocabulary, Practice Makes Perfect Arabic Pronouns and Prepositions and Practice Makes Perfect Arabic Verb Tenses. As someone who was attempting to learn the language on his own, I found these books to be helpful with providing me with the basics of the language, not to mention providing extra words, phrases and other helpful terms. Plus, getting three 190+ page books for ~$30, it was also a great bargain.

FANTASTIC
This workbook was exactly what I needed. The rules are broken down into tiny, digestible pieces. Those are then followed by plenty of practice. The book gives you a lot of useful verbs (and other parts of speech)to work with that you learn through repetition. I'm currently halfway through it and have made a large leap in my understanding of Arabic verbs. And I've preordered the other three books in this series. Oh, yeah: I couldn't complain about the price, either, for such well-explained and useful study practice.

Wightwick's books are all quite good in the learning of MSA
~The font is just too small. I have to use a magnifying glass in addition to my reading glasses to use this book. Having said that, the book will give you a solid grasp of MSA grammar. The exercises force you to actually think and construct phrases of your own in Arabic. That is its redeeming quality. Perhaps McGraw-Hill will see fit to enlarge the point size of the Arabic script. Even if it makes the book larger, it would be worth it. Wightwick's books are all quite good in the learning of MSA. She's a competent teacher.

Wonderful resource to learn Arabic grammar!
This book is the clearest "grammar" book I have come across. It explains on the verb tenses and the different measures of Arabic verbs in a way o other book or resources can. I use this more than any book to study with and have recommended it to all my classmates. You will NOT be disappointed. It goes beyond just verbs and covers so much of Arabic grammar that other books miss.

着実にステップアップしていく感じ
書き込み式のドリルになっており、新出単語の訳もあるので理解しやすいです。文字や挨拶は載っていないので、初級テキスト(日本語でたくさん出ている)のあとにこの本に進むといいと思います。

a must have in order to get a rich vocabulary
This book is very simple, close to school's book but more complete. Jane... what about Jane? She's simply a great teacher! I'm still studying it and while it can be quite tedious sometimes, don't forget that this is ALL ABOUT VERBS: if you don't like grammar, don't read this.If you want master arabic language, I'd suggest you to buy it.
