I had a real bad hematoma in my right ear due to a motorcycle accident. After weeks of dealing with it, I think I’ve found the best way to treat it. And these magnets are a big part of that treatment. But make note, they won’t work well until your ear is drained. If you have minor fluid build up, then you can probably use these magnets immediately and keep the swelling from getting too big. But in my experience, I didn’t know what to do so after a couple days I finally went to the ER, they drained it. But they didn’t have magnets and it took a couple days to get them from Amazon. So I followed up with my ENT DR, and they cut it open, drained it again, then stitched it up. From then I’ve been using these magnets all day every day and it has kept fluid from building up in the top of my ear again. Still plenty of inflammation near my ear canal as that’s where the bleed was stemming from. But if you use the smaller magnets near the ear canal and the big magnets at the top of your ear, it will keep fluid from building up again and then you just have to wait for the inflammation to go down. Coupled with a strong antibiotic and anti inflammatory (prednisone/doxycycline) your ear should return to normal in a few weeks.

These are excellent magnets at an great price. I've used the more popular and much more expensive brand and found these to be stronger and better. I know there's the risk of magnets being too strong and damaging the ear, but these seem to apply a reasonable amount of pressure. My daughter is 13 and these fixed her right up. She got the hematoma drained and the magnets stayed on for a couple weeks to prevent it from refilling. Now that she's healed, you can't tell she ever had an injury.

They apply a good amount of pressure and kept my ear from refilling after being drained. This is huge for me because usually I need them drained more than once and it's a hassle. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it says "Caulibuds will fit comfortably in your ears but most importantly, stay in place during hard workouts and training" Since it's designed for cauliflower ear I assume they mean grappling training. They absolutely will not stay in place during a hard roll. Probably not that safe to wear them on the mats anyway. They were also a little pricey, but I got what I expected and it's already paying off. I've already been recommending them to my training partners.

They worked great and helped out not having such a big ear that was gross looking, they are painful, but tolerable.

These worked great for my son’s cauliflower ear. We had it drained, the doctor wanted to sew cotton to my sons ear to keep it from filling back up and was extremely condescending when I showed him these and asked if this was a viable solution to keeping pressure on the ear. Jerk of a doctor basically shrugged and said try it out but to call when we had to get it re-drained. We kept gauze on the cut from getting it drained (so it could keep draining) for 2 days. Then used the cushions provided in this set for comfort for I believe 2 weeks just to MAKE SUUUURE it didn’t start to fill again. It fit perfectly in my son’s ear. He didn’t complain about it hurting, he said the pressure from the magnet wasn’t too much when he used the cushions. His ear healed and has not been an issue since. Which was a huge relief after the doctor was such a jerk.

I bought these for my son who is in wrestling. He got smacked in the ear a couple of times before he got his ear gear. Cauliflower ear happens fast! He has been wearing the daily and it has already started going down. Now his was not really bad, but we want to keep it that way. Price is good. He found some on eBay for double the price. I told him "Nope! Let me look on Amazon.". Very happy I did.

These worked fairly well when I got cauliflower ear recently. The magnets are very strong and made my ear start to hurt after about 30 minutes, but I was able to fix this by taking a piece of styrofoam about half a centimeter thick, cutting it to match the shape of the buds, and putting it on the backside of the ear between the buds. Over time, the styrofoam compressed, so I made another one and added it between the buds. Now, I have a set of fully compressed styrofoam pieces so I'm all set to go if I get cauliflower ear again!

I can see how this is good for the upper ear. The magnets are not strong enough for the inner ears.

Expensive but absolutely worth it. haven't found anything else that has the right strength to work but not be painful.

After the first day of using it, my ear lobe got looking almost normal again. I did not have a terrible swelling, but still I am pleased. It does do miracles, but certainly helps.

Do not order this product!! There are other options that are slightly more expensive but won’t come as mine did. The photos do not do it justice. Box was ripped up and scratches all over the casing. Looks second hand. Cannot believe I paid $70 for this
