The top width is 4.5 inches and the bottom width is 3.25. It says it in the description.

Will it work with fine ground coffee?

I'm not sure - I only use regular ground coffee, but it does have a very fine mesh so I think fine grounds would stay in the filter.

Well, I have a Mr. Coffee. It makes up to 12 cups. I would imagine it would fit most coffee makes that use basket filters.

I purchased this three times. I do not use the plastic coffee basket, but the filters I use can’t buy them separately because plastic as soon as water hits it or there’s any heat the plastic goes into your food, but I love the filters you’re amazing. Coffee is amazing big difference.
