Is this product transparent? If I coat my project with diamond dust will it still show the image?

The crystals are clear but honestly I've only used it as a sparkle on white only projects such as paper mache card boxes and things like that. I think it would depend how heavily you load the dust on. I'm sorry I can't be too informative.
