Warm, and Good for Layering, and Great for Cold Rides!
I picked up the medium black 250 and it’s been perfect for cold weather riding and chilly workdays. I’m 5'10" and 180 lbs, and while the fit is a bit loose, the length is perfect. After 2 years of regular use, it’s still going strong—just a minor hole at the ankle, easily hidden by socks.Pros:✅ Great Cold-Weather Warmth (250 Weight) – Warm enough that I haven’t needed to upgrade to 320✅ Ideal for Motorcycle Rides & Cold Work Days – Keeps me warm without bulk✅ Socks Are High Quality – Cozy and well-made✅ Durable Over Time – Still in good shape after 2 yearsCons:❌ Slightly Loose Fit (Medium on 5'10", 180 lbs) – Not overly baggy, just not snug❌ Minor Wear – Small hole near ankle, but nothing majorFinal Thoughts:Whether you’re riding in the cold or braving freezing temps at work, this base layer does the job exceptionally well. Warm, breathable, and built to last—an excellent investment for cold-weather comfort.

Best Long underwear for warmth.
Love these. I wish they were a little less expensive, overall worth the money, and they include socks. They feel great on and keep you warm all day. I use these in the cold winter. I have multiple pairs. I would like more and waiting for new colors to come out. I would tell anyone that runs cold or doesn't like winter these are worth every penny.

Perfection
Love these immensely. Soft, thick. Warm. Durable. Easy to wash. Smell great. I will be ordering a size smaller to have more true to size but even after ordering a size too large I can't part with them.

Perfect for my needs
Midweight 250 g/m² Size; XL4 stars only because 5 stars leave no room for improvement.I live full time in my RV which is difficult to heat. I bought these pants and the shirt in Sept 2024 in an attempt to reduce the cost of heating the RV. I'm old and I'm on blood thinners so I get uncomfortably cold easily, especially because I keep my thermostat below 65 degrees. I wear this base layer in the RV all the time. I lounge in them and work in them and I sleep in them. I can't tell you, sufficiently, how well they keep me warm. When I'm out side they keep me warm to about 20 degrees when worn under my other clothing. lower that that I put on sweat pants and shirt between the base layer and my bibs and outer shirt.I'm a bit sensitive about wool products against my skin, so I hesitated to buy them because some reviewers complained about them being "itchy". I don't agree at all, because, when I wear them, except for the warmth that they provide, I don't even know that they are there.BTW, The FREE socks that came with each piece are equally comfortable and warm. Merino-Tech socks are typically about $10 a pair, so consider that when shopping by price.I wash them with my other dark clothing in a front loaded washer in warm water. Then I tumble dry them separately at the lowest temperature. I wear them all day, every day until laundry day so there's a lot of opportunity for wear and tear. So far, in the 4 months that I have used them, I have detected no change in their comfort or in the condition of the fabric.I highly recommend them.

Comfy Warmth
The only way to know if this garment is comfy, warm, non-itching and fits well is to ... wear it.I did exactly that shortly after I received it. I wore it for 3 straight days. I notice the top is pilling a little bit (what else should you expect from wool), but the top and the bottoms held up to one cycle in gentle wash. The garment instructions that came on a printed card with the piece say something a bit different from the instructions printed on the garment. For example, the card instructions say NOT to place in the dryer, but the instructions on the piece itself say "Turn inside out. Machine wash cold on gentle cycle with like colors. Lay flat to dry recommended or machine dry on low heat. Do not bleach. Do not dry clean, Do not wring dry."So it seems they don't recommend using a dryer, however a fluff cycle in the dryer is the best way we know of to get pet hair off... so that's what we opt for before - or after - laying it out flat to finish dry.I do notice that the tag (which I summarized above - and have included a photo of) is likely to come off... but those tags are often a comfort nuisance. You DO need a magnifying glass to read that tag!I also notice that the pieces we received were made in China (PRC).The fit is good, comfy, and just like the top it's warm, non-itchy with no abrasive seams to irritate my skin. We all have probably had an experience of getting a garment with a tag that is so annoying that you want to rip it off ASAP - either because the tag itself is scratchy or the sewing holding the tag to the garment is obnoxious. This tag is long and thin, but not annoying. How well it will hold up to use remains to be seen... but I don't see anything that makes me think it is likely to fall apart or get threadbare easily. Indeed, the best thing I can say about this garment is that it is MORE comfortable AND warmer than the cotton long johns I have. Cotton is pretty miserable thing to have next to your skin in the cold when you sweat or it gets wet.All the pieces I've purchased so far come with a free pair of Merino socks. The socks are not very thick, but they do seem ok.
