Sion Softside Expandable Spinner Luggage Durable Lightweight Travel Suitcase, Dark Grey, Checked-Large

I bought two of these large suitcases to take on an upcoming trip. They seem to be very nice. The wheels are most important and the wheels on these seem strong and well-placed. They are big enough…I have been able to pack everything I want to take. I love the color. Not a red…forgot what the actual color is but I think it will be easier to spot on the baggage roundabout at the airport. The zippers seem just fine. I like the added pouches on front for last minute items. These seem sturdy, roll beautifully, size is great, color is very nice and the handle works perfectly. They arrived very quickly. We have used our Samsonite for years and alas, a wheel broke on a recent vacation. After many years of use…the pieces were looking well worn. It was time to buy new. I hope we have many years of use out of this luggage.

Pretty color and light weight. It appears well made. Because of the light color it did get dirty when I was traveling. I will try to find out how to clean it. It wheels very well and is a good value. Seems well made.

This luggage worked perfectly. Smooth to pull, not too heavy not too thin either. Plenty of room inside. With SW charging for luggage now, I needed a suitcase that I could max out with out going over the weight limit. I traveled for 1 week and this one suitcase was plenty large enough. Easy to use as well and the handles worked great. Feels very sturdy.

I bought this bag after a good experience with its carry-on cousin. The outer lower pocket was ripped nearly off on the second flight I took with this bag. Baggage handlers being what they are, I can't completely blame the suitcase for that. However, the outer pockets do stick out quite a bit from the rest of the bag, so it seems more susceptible to damage than other bags. Also, this bag is SO big that it's super easy to pack so much that its overweight - we had 55 lb in it when we checked in to our last flight and it wasn't even expanded. My replacement bag will likely be a bit smaller because of that. I do like the handle on this, and the wheels roll super smoothly.

Swiss Gear service is very poor. I bought this luggage for my daughter on 6/9/2024, as she went Ireland for one semester (Fall 2024). We live in the USA. In the very first use of it, one wheel broke off (while being handled with Delta). We later learned we could file a claim with Delta, but it needed to be done in 7 days. My daughter didn't learn this until after the 7 days. Next time we will follow this route. Given how quick the luggage failed (first use) I filed a warranty claim with Swiss Gear on 9/5/2024. They had a detailed process I needed to follow including showing pics of the issue from all angles. I highlighted to them that my daughter was in Ireland, and asked if he could get this fixed in Ireland (we are talking about a European company here). I only received the generic form letters requiring me to interact with the American branch. After submitting all the pictures, they told me I need to mail them some original seam labels. I did this as soon as my daughter got back from Ireland (in January). Finally, on February 22nd, 2025, I was informed that my warranty was approved, and they sent me the details: THEY ONLY GAVE ME A 15% OFF COUPON TO BUY A NEW ONE FROM THE SWISSGEAR WEBSITE! What kind of a warranty is this? 80% off might be a warranty, not 15%. Today 15% off of this luggage from the SwissGear site is about the same as the Amazon price. So basically, the warranty is just a coupon trying to get you buy more directly from Swiss Gear. Suffice to say, I never plan to buy anything Swiss Gear again. If you are worried about warranties, please avoid this brand since they really do not seem to warranty their luggage. I want to remind you again, the wheel breakage shown in the pictures happened in the very first use.

I absolutely Love this Swissgear Sion Softside Suitcase;;; I Used it for Our Flights & also for Our Cruise 🚢; Worked Out Perfectly; & still Looks New; with All the Different Flights & Movement that it had gone Through.!!! Highly Recommended.‼️‼️‼️

It is very large! I have the blue one and it is very pretty. Heaps of zippered pockets inside and out. It has four handles, one on each side plus an extendable handle. Good thing it has wheels, I’d never be able to carry it with all the stuff that it can hold! I have a trip coming up tomorrow and am excited to be able to not only take all my belongings but to be able to have enough room to finely bring items home!!

Maneuvers well, handles are comfortable and it is well constructed. Would definitely recommend especially for this price.
