Worked to fix my e60 radio going out. My old one was melted and obviously shorted out due to where BMW mounted it in the bottom of the trunk. Relocate the new one to higher ground. When my old one went, it also took out two fuses that were not obvious to find. If it does not work right away, check all rear trunk fuses even the big ones
