A few details about these great kids puppets.
The goal of this review is to answer a few of the questions and concerns that people have with these puppets. 1. I received all 12 puppets, in good condition, one of each animal listed 2. These puppets are "glove" type. They have 4 'legs' and there IS a small pocket inside the head for your middle finger. It is a small pocket, and only the top of you finger will go in to control the puppet's movement. 3. They are smallish for an adult hand. My average sized hand will fit, but I'm tugging it down frequently. Would not be a problem for kids. 4. Yes, the 4 legs can look a bit silly, but there are 2 ways of solving this problem: A) If the children using them are young, they won't care. B) If you are using the puppet as a teaching tool or demonstration, you can chose which legs to use. Just like a glove, you can poke the 'extra' legs to the inside of the body, and viola! You've only got 2 legs. To use the top legs, tuck the bottom legs inside and form your hand like a 3. Your thumb and palm can hang on to the extra legs inside and actually help to keep the glove on. To use the bottom legs, tuck the top legs in and form your hand into a sign-language "I love you" with your thumb, pinky and pointer finger out. I find it easier to extend my pointer and middle fingers together to control the head. Then you get a long-necked puppet - I use this configuration for the giraffe and elephant. 5. The fabric is cheap, thin velour. One of mine has a poorly-sewn seam and the fabric comes apart there. 6. For the cost ($1.25/each as of 9/1/14) I find this a valuable resource, even if they are not perfect, and require special use. I h ope this review can answer some questions! I'll try to upload photos, too.

My kid has had ENDLESS hours of fun with these
My kid has had ENDLESS hours of fun with these. They're not the highest quality, and the material is sort of thin. These won't fit on adult hands... these are children's puppets. They're so affordable that it's ok if they don't last forever. Five stars because the balance between craftsmanship and price is exactly what one would expect. They don't fall apart with use, but I wouldn't run them through the washing machine except on the delicate cycle.

Great Quality and Very Good Price!
Buying this item for my daughter's birthday favor. Wanted to see how the quality is before I get more so I started with one set. Received the product today and out of the box I love the material and how it looks. For 8 inch hand puppet this is very well made and my daughter loves it, the fabric material feels good to the touch and you can't beat the price (Right around $1.20 each) The only draw back I see is the fabric material isn't stretchable so it's harder for some people with big hands (See Picture). Overall it's a great product with a very good price. Just placed another two sets on order.

Good Value
This set of puppets is a great price-value. They are made of polyester, which does not have the nicest hand, but I should have assumed as much for the amount they cost. (Also, made in China.) You basically wear the puppet like a glove in order to utilize both the arms and legs at the same time which is a little awkward. My 11 month old son likes these, but has been pulling the fuzzy mane out of the zebra, so that one is now off limits b/c it makes a mess. I gave the product 3 stars only because of the icky fabric and the awkwardness of utilizing the arms and legs at the same time. But, on the positive side they wash nicely (threw them in the washing machine and dryer without any issues), include a nice array of animals (farm / jungle / domestic), will likely provide hours of imaginary play for years to come and are quite affordable.

Greatly exceeded expectations
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 3 year old grandson who is totally into trucks, balls and bicycles. We had to open it early because of my travel plans. I never would have believed that he would have enjoyed it so much. He has named each animal. Also, I could participate with it from the armchair. Forget about criticism that you read from other comments. These are very soft, not "yucky". My grandson's coordination isn't always perfect to get the feet to operate independently from the arms, but it doesn't matter to him. He imagined a "watering hole" and the animals take turns getting a sip of water. This was easily one of his favorite Christmas gifts. Luckily, one of his other gifts arrived in a fabric gift bag which he now uses to stow his 12 puppets. Other than not coming complete with a bag, these are terrific. Considering the price, buy it and find your own bag.

Cute and kid sized
The set I received had 12 different puppets and they are all very simple but cute and for the price very fair. I did notice the stitching wasn't super awesome quality but for what I paid these are great. I love that they are kid sized and I didn't realize they would fit on the hand like a glove with one finger in each hole but for little kids I think this is more intuitive than a regular puppet. I think these are great, I highly recommend.

You Get What You Pay (& that's fine here)
*The quality is not great and these are made in china. *The velour is very very thin and doesn't really feel like velour at all. *I looked up the company on the bag these came in (oriental trading) and the price here is cheaper, by quite a bit- even with the coupon deals I was able to find. So that's a plus =) *These are small, but my hand fits inside them. I wear a medium glove and am 7.5 ring size. I don't think anyone with a much bigger hand at all could use them (my husband can not). *They are designed, it seems, to fit like a loose glove with a spot for each finger. Thumb and pinky in bottom legs, pointer and ring in top legs, middle finger in head. This means you can move all parts at the same time (with practice lol). I like this feature a lot. Overall I am happy with them. The price when I bought them broke down to about a dollar and a quarter each, and as they are about the quality I would expect to see in the dollar store I am happy with them.
