UPDATE TWO WEEKS LATER: I purchased more of these tiles for the opposite side of my desk. Wow, what a difference with adding more. They work great! ORIGINAL REVIEW: The acoustics around my desk are terrible. Clients have made comment about the echo. After research, I purchased these squares. I used spray contact cement to glue them to the walls on each side of my two computer monitors. The echo is 90% gone. I ordered more to glue them higher on the wall. Note: Forget about allowing them to expand 24 to 48 hours after opening the package as the instructions state. I put them in water in the kitchen sink, allowed them to expand, rang them out and put them in a dryer for 45 minutes. They look great.

Pop up evenly and easily after rinse. It also dried over night. If your were looking to buy this style acoustic foam especially in this color. I bought similar foam from another store on amazon and for some odd reason all the foam did not pop up right and the adhesive didn't work. Plus it took about a week to dry. If your looking to buy this style acoustic foam, buy these. I just did and there perfect!

Half of these never expanded. I've gotten them wet. I've put them in the dryer. I've left them alone for days. Nothing has worked. So...I've got about 4 good panels and the rest are apparently junk

I couldn’t believe how easy they were to use. I let them expand by regular room air instead of water as it seemed most natural and I think it was best for the composition of the material. They expanded as expected and work for the window I am using them in.

This item comes vacuum sealed. Avoid vacuum sealed foam panels. I air it out for 48 hours and even tried the suggestion to wash it and dry it so it regains its original shape but it only worked on a few of the 12 that were usable.

Look good and help with sound, BUT...after a few months, these BLUE version now has discoloration..( a yellowish tint. Now taking them OFF :( Better off trying the black version, IMHO ( 2'x4' sheets)

Bought several packs of these, and threw them into the bath tub and 12 at a time in the dryer on auto (20 minutes does not really cut it). I used a hot-glue gun to stick cardboard backing to the corners. The glue is important because the foam will flex, which easily destroys 3M tape type adhesion, whereas the glue I used penetrated the foam slightly and remains slightly rubbery when dry. I then stuck the pads to the walls using blue-tac. I'm thinking I'll switch to 3M tape on the cardboard to stop a few problem pads from coming unstuck. All of the pads expanded without distortion. The foam is doing a reasonable job of attenuating echo, but don't be fooled by any claim that it somehow decreases noise leakage or in any way affects lower frequencies. That's physically impossible. Overall a good quality product.

Definitely not for sound proofing

Me encantó, estaba buscando algo para evitar que mis bebés se golpeen al gatear y sirvió de maravilla, lo puse alrededor de su cuarto, así cuando gatean o se van de lado, ya no se golpean con la pared, están suaves y acolchado, hasta sirve para cabecera de cama, muy cómodo al recargarse, hasta decorativo se ve.
