SnoStrip by RigStrips | The Original Protective Magnetic Ski & Snowboard Holder for the Side of Your Vehicle for Paint and Gear Protection

I kept seeing ads about the SnoStrip and decided to give it a shot. I’m really happy I bought one! It’s really convenient to be able to lean mine and my friends’ skis, poles, and snowboards against my car safely, keeping them off the ground from potentially being tripped over, kicked, or run over by another closely parked vehicle. I usually ski 25+ days at just one resort, and will travel elsewhere with friends; and I often get comments from people parked next to me at different ski resorts surprised to “see one in the wild” at how well it works in keeping things organized and out of the way while getting gear on and ready in the parking lot. The magnet is very strong but doesn’t leave any marks on my white SUV. I usually leave it on my car all day while skiing (luckily it hasn’t been stolen), and then remove it before driving off if I’m staying elsewhere not on-site at the resort. I’ve forgotten it on my car a handful of times on longer 3hr+ drives and it’s stayed securely on. The SnoStrip stays in my trunk all year round, so I’ve also used it to lean my fly fishing rods against the car while doing any leader/tippet changes and getting the rest of my gear ready. I had an early product from 2023 and found half the magnet backing to peel towards the end of the ‘24/‘25 season, but their customer service was amazing in responding to my email right away and they replaced my SnoStrip with an improved version that addresses that issue.

I don’t know how we ever lived without a SnowStrip! Before we bought one, we risked scraping and scratching our snowboard and skis and the side of the truck when we set our gear aside in the snow or propped them against a tree or the truck while we unloaded the vehicle prepping for a day on the slopes. Rain, shine, snow, or sleet, the strong magnetic SnowStrip stays in place on the side of the vehicle where we can easily and effectively prop our gear. It accommodates a large snowboard, a set of skis, and poles with room to spare. Although it has a strong grip, it can be peeled off easily without any harm to the vehicle paint. We store it in our snowboard or ski bag for easy transport—we packed it in our checked bags on a ski trip out-of-state and used it on our rental car. A must-have!

It holds onto two sets of skis and poles nicely, and it's easy to stick onto and remove from the car without marring. The one minor gotcha I've noticed is that on our old Civic Si, the one good mounting place puts it near the waist of the skis. That means that, at least with our cambered skis, a pair needs to straddle a 'finger' rather than rest between fingers, so there isn't really room for more than two pair of skis. Not a huge deal for me, but if you're packing the car with people, you may need find a higher mount point or a second strip for the other side of the vehicle. I also find the strip handy when I get home. I can stick the strip on the edge of a metal storage rack to hold gear while I'm unpacking. I've only used it for half a season so far, but although light and very flexible, it has held up well. With the addition of some brightly colored stickers on the ends (to make it easier to find in the dark car trunk), I'm very pleased with this thing!

Arrived in time and packaged ok. Tried this out in several ski trips and it worked well. Upside is the coating protects your skis and your car. Holds several sets of skis in place. Downside would be maybe they can make a magnet that’s a little stronger. We had some slippage a few times, no severe but a little stronger magnet may work better. Having said that I will say that after putting skis into the roof rack we forgot this was on the car and drove for about 10 miles around 45-50mph and arrived home to find it still attached and in place. NOTE: If you have an aluminum body vehicle like the new Ford trucks it will attach. I know this sounds like a no brainer but…

I bought this after a recommendation from a friend who has the same holder. It is a great investment that gives me piece of mind from scratches and dents in my car so I can rest my skis and my wife's snowboard against the car in the parking lot before and after removing them from the roof rack. A lot of thought was put into engineering this and it is universal for skis and snowboards. It is very heavy duty and has a thick heavy duty felt undercoating that is gentle to your cars paint. The magnets seem to hold the perfect pressure and overall is a few dollars well spent to save you many more if you damage your car. I would recommend this to anyone who needs to rest skis against their car!

This has become an essential piece of winter equipment for me. Being able to place my skis and poles without scratching up my car is important to me. Unfortunately, it fell off my car this season but their customer service team (Ben) got right on my request for help and a new one is coming my way. I'm excited and happy how things have turned out!

Works really well when you're parked in snowy conditions, but when you're in an icy parking spot, boards and skis just slip right from under.

This is by far the best quality ski/ snowboard holder on the market. Great value for the price since I know it's built to last. Stays on my car even when I drive, doesn't scratch my car since the magnets are hidden, and holds a lot of gear! Will definitely buy other products from RigStrips.

This is a really good gadget to use when you go skiing and you unload your Thule box. The magnet is strong and holds well up to four pairs of skis and poles. Highly recommend to avoid scratches on your car and to keep skis out of the way around your car while you get ready to hit the slopes.

It works as advertised, it's very handy and prevents ski's from falling in the parkade. I can confidently recommend this product.
