Great counting tool
This has been a great purchase. It is really making a difference for our 5 year old to understand counting by places (ones, tens, hundreds). We use it as an incentive where he earns points for accomplishing certain tasks and as he adds the points in, he gets excited getting another bundle of tens, etc. I bought some small rubber bands to band the ones into a bundle of ten and tens into a bundle of hundred so visually it makes a difference.

Great Product
This is a very good product. The material that it is made out of is vinyl and plastic, and seems to be well sewn to last. The numbers are just printed on card stock. And the straws are just like those little straws you use to stir your coffee with. This is a product that someone can easily create at home if you wanted to. But i wanted to purchase this for homeschooling purposes...whenever i can buy real teaching materials without having to make my own stuff, i like to.

nice place value chart for classroom
nice, normal place value chart. a bit bigger than I had expected but then again I hadn't look for dimensions when purchasing. good buy and well made.

Perfect Pocket Chart
I am the pocket chart queen and this is by far one of my favorites! It helps my special needs students keep track of how many days we have been in school and it works well with the Calendar/Weather/Season pocket chart sold by Learning Resources. It is a little smaller than I expected but it is still perfect!

Helpful, high quality product.
I like the sturdy quality of this pocket chart. It is easy for my students to understand and to practice place value with the help of this chart. We are using it to count the number of days we have been in school, but also take it down and use in other ways when it fits with our math lessons.

Great way to reinforce counting up
Great way to reinforce counting up. I use this chart to track how many days we've attended school. We recently reached the hundreds, and it's exciting to know that my students will be able to count to 180 (which is higher than the required 120 for their grade level). The pieces are easy to manipulate, so even my clumsiest students are able to change our daily number and counter sticks.

Excellent visual for place value
As a first-year classroom teacher, I bought so many things for the classroom. I would say that this chart was one of my wiser purchases for a 2nd grade class. You can weave it into other carpet time activities including counting the number of days they've been in school. I like the physicality of "bundling" the ten ones with a rubber band before putting it into the tens column.

It's okay...
This is a great product to teach place value, but I wished I would have bought the more expensive yellow one. I should have read the description a little better (my fault) because it only comes with 20 number cards. You need 30 to use this effectively, so I will have to make another set myself. Also, the cards are flimsy and not laminated, and it doesn't come with the rubber bands. The extra pocket is nice for storing the cards and straws when not in use.

Great product, ugly colours
Only dislike is the colour scheme. Would prefer something black, white. More neutral beigy/gray ish colours rather than in your face red and blue

Maths display
bought for my year 2 classroom. Really useful to help teach place value as the children can physically move objects and groups of objects across each pocket. I have used it with multilink cubes and beads on pipe cleaners as well as the straws you recieve with the chart. GREAT!
