Author, Peter M Ginter's 'The Stategic Management of Health Care Organisations' is obviously aimed at those in management within the health services. Be it-in UK terms the NHS and Private sectors. However, for those who are based in the UK and working in the public sector, be aware, TSMOHCO is based on US health systems and therefore for those who might be employed in the medical rather than commercial side of a public system, will find much within not that useful.However, there are certainly areas which overlap in each country and in each sector. For those coming at it from a student perspective and who wish to pursue a career in Health Management, there is much in Ginter's work which will be of interest.
