Will the danish oil work on outdoor, hard wood furniture? producer implies indoor only? or would i need the exterior watco or watco teak?

I would recommend choosing the outdoor rated oils to provide better protection against the elements.

This question is more a matter of personal preference than technical properties. Coverage, durability, ease of application, etc. with Watco are essentially the same with maple as with other species. Depth of penetration in maple will tend to be less than in softer, more open grain species. If you prefer not to darken the natural color or accentuate the grain of maple (especially figured maple), it would be better to use a film finish (varnish, laquer, shellac) alone. Film finishes can be applied after Watco if you take care to wait until it is completely polymerized.

I am new to wood working and want to know is this a good finish to apply to a bookshelf?

Yes. This is excellent. If you want a silky smooth finish with a lovely gloss, use fine steel wool on the wood, wipe down, and then apply the Danish Oil. It's an excellent wood preserver.

Can I use this to rejuvenate my oak kitchen cabinets that already have a finish on them?

I used it on bare walnut and it did a great job. If your cabinets have a urethane finish, first sand lightly so the oil will penetrate the wood.
