Dreamland Snuggle Up Heated Throw Electric Blanket, Grey, 160x120cm

My partner swears by this electric throw, which she uses all winter long to stay warm and toasty no matter what the weather. Warmth: The little controller offers a range of temperatures, so you can find the perfect temperature for your situation. It starts to heat up in seconds, so you're not waiting around to get warm. Just press the button, climb underneath and start to benefit almost instantly. The highest temperature is very high indeed (too hot for me as a guy) so I suspect this throw will suit even the most cold-blooded reader. Size: This is a really good size throw. If you're on your own you can be completely enveloped within it. If you're sharing with a partner that's still in theory possible if you're willing to squish up a little bit and snuggle together. It folds away relatively small for the summer months, into the included bag, so it's easily stowed in an airing cupboard or ontop of a wardrobe out of the way. Feel: This throw feels beautifully soft against the skin; truly a pleasing experience. My partner has very sensitive skin and we've experienced no itchiness, soreness, reactions etc from it. It also looks attractive on the sofa too, which is a plus. Practicality: It's really handy that you can detach the throw from the wire (see photo - the two halves just clip together) and machine wash it. That helps keep it clean, fresh smelling and in tiptop condition. Really, after two winters of use, I really can't find a thing not to like about this throw.

We’ve been using this since it arrived and have been really pleased with it. It heats up quickly, the controls are very easy to use and the material is lovely and soft. You can feel the wires if you deliberately look for them, but during normal use they aren’t uncomfortable or particularly noticeable. We mainly use it as a throw over the sofa to create a heated seat on cold evenings, and it works brilliantly for that. It’s also been straightforward to wash and has stayed nice and soft. One thing I would be careful of is letting it bunch up or trapping anything inside it while it’s running on a high setting. We accidentally had a TV remote wrapped up in it once and it became extremely hot, with the remote battery later swelling. Since then we’ve just made sure the blanket is kept reasonably flat and nothing is left wrapped inside it. Despite that, we really like it and would happily buy another.

When it was unpacked I was a bit disappointed, I expected the blanket to be fluffier, softer but obviously the electrical webbing is inside so it has to have some “firmness”. But as soon as I plugged it in - I love it!! When the autumn starts I just feel miserable and cold with the indoor temperature suddenly dropping to 18/19degrees. This is a fantastic item! It really makes me feel warm and cozy straightaway. Happier. I keep it on the sofa and when I get cold I set it up for an hour to “defrost”! I can’t believe I haven’t bought it sooner. I haven’t thought about sleeping with it, although I tried heated mattress before and I think this is so much better because especially if you work from home you don’t want to keep diving to bed to warm up. The lead is an ok length. Overall very happy with it. I hope it will last at least for a few years. This would be a wonderful gift for an older person. Or even a younger slim person who is constantly cold.

This Dreamland Electric throw is very soft and snuggly, but it’s only big enough for one person. We had to buy two. It’s very soft on the skin and heats up quickly. It has a heating temperature between one to six. We find number four is nice and warm. It keeps its warmth to the hours set and simple to operate. The only drawback, is that it only allows three time settings. One hour, three hours or nine hours. It would be more beneficial, if you could set the hours that you prefer. However, it’s still a lovely electric blanket and would recommend it.

Nice quality lovely and warm

I cannot recommend this throw rug, The fabric feels great, it warms up nice and cosy, the controls are good. BUT the cable from the controller to the blanket must be made differently, within a month of use that part of the cable split dangerously exposing the internal wires in several places. I have had two of these, one was a gift and the second one bought myself as when it works it's great and I thought perhaps I was unlucky getting a split cable. Nope, exactly the same issue with both, poor quality cabling between the controller and the blanket itself.

My mum had received one of these for a Christmas gift. I was also offered one but declined because I didn’t think I would use it. How wrong I was! After trying it once I was on Amazon straight away. The heated blanket is like slipping into a warm bath. I am a naturally cold person and most nights I cannot wait to get under my blanket in front of the telly. It’s such a joy. The heat settings are good with a range from 1 to 6. 6 is too hot, 3 or a 4 being optimum. Obviously the parts of the blanket with the heating element get the hottest, but it seems fairly well distributed and so hot spots can be avoided in the main. There is a timer function with auto shut off so you can choose between an hour, 3 hours or 9 hours. The feel of the blanket is a lightweight and soft fleece. It can be washed in the machine if you unplug the control and is not too bulky to put through a washing machine at home. I believe that there is a more expensive blanket with a ribbed design which is a little more bulky but I am happy with this one. As soon as I get this out the dog jumps up on the sofa in readiness. He knows what’s good. I believe that this doesn’t consume much energy and so can be a God send in homes without much heating, or for the elderly or ill who feel the cold. I’ve had it a good long while now with no issues. It seems safe although I always unplug when done. Recommend to all.
