Has anyone tried the tsa lock on this? does it work?

Yeah works great. Be careful to buy the exact one. Bought one on ebay before this it was about 2mm to big. Make sure if your old one has 2 small screws on the back the new one has the same.

Is there anyway to see if this is the right size for my samsonite case?

Just compare measurement of both locks if it looks like the same lock.
