This hammock is the double. It was plenty roomy, as seen in the photos I've added, to put your mat sideways and sit viewing out from the horizontal position or at an angle. Both positions give you a lot of room. I used a caraboner clip to attach my canteen bag and a stuff sack to the line through my bug net sleeve. I was able to keep plenty of things next to me (a book, an arm rest pillow, a travel neck pillow, a drinking canteen, and moist towlettes) and have room to move around. I recommend adding the bug net. It worked really well to keep comfortable through the night from mosquitos and I climbed in after cooking to eat and avoid the meat bees that come after you for your steak and hamburgers. The material looks quality and I hung the nest pretty high in one trip but climbing in it did not tear or have any quality issues pulling myself in from about 3- 3.5 feet up. Which worried me at first. The material is lightweight and the tripple stitching is great. I was uncertain about the detached bug net style at first but many people complained about bug nets that rip from the seam of an attached hammock and so all things considered this net is roomy durable and optional with the plus of not having to worry about it making the hammock itself overly delicate. The bug net and hammock were both easy to set up and easy to take down. I had no problems getting these back into their stuff sacks and was glad the sacks are attached for convenience. I went with this company because it's hard to find American companies these days. I paid a little more to buy local. I am from sacramento and was glad to not only buy American but San Francisco. These pictures were taken about 2 hours from the bay in Shast Trinity Forest McCloud River and Ellery Creek. It was beautiful and my whole trip was comfortable thanks to my Gold Armour.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband, but honestly we both love it so much that it feels like I’m the one benefitting from it. I purchased it for a steal during Black Friday but would have paid full price if the sale hadn’t been available. We use it to hammock in the backyard, at the park, and under the beach board walk. Once we go to a less tropical climate we intend to use it for lounging on hikes and when camping as well. The hammock is very easy and quick to set up and take down, feels very secure, and has a great selection of colors available. The attached bag carries all parts and is compact enough, but would likely be too bulky if you’re backpacking and carrying all supplies in one bag. Regarding quality, it feels comparable if not better than more expensive portable hammocks. Undeniably it’s nicer than what’s available at sports stores I’ve looked into. My husband commented that it would likely increase the lifespan of the fabric if it had a ripstop design similar to what Eddie Bauer uses. We always take any keys or pocket knives out of our back pockets before getting into it just in case. As far as comfort, it is equally comfortable compared to other hammocks I have used. On colder days, a coat or blanket goes a long way to keep your butt and back from getting cold. The sides block wind well even if you have two people inside. I wouldn’t recommend sleeping overnight in it because I don’t like the way hammocks support my spine when I sleep, but if you’ve slept in one before and enjoy it this one does fine. It was also easy enough to get in and out of when 9 months pregnant as long as it wasn’t hanging too high. The amount of weight this hammock can hold is no joke. As a household of two adults of an averaged height of 6’ with healthy but muscular weight, the hammock always feels secure. It can also hold two adults and an infant. Considering the time it takes to grow a family, we have not been able to test further than two grown ups and a baby yet. I trust however that as long as your family’s combined weight is under the limit though the hammock would hold. I also appreciated the fact that the hammock seemed to come from a US small business. That type of thing matters to my family. All in all: I love it and it was worth it, but I wouldn’t use it for overnight sleep or to hike the Appalachian. Preggers approved.

Not gonna lie I was pretty skeptical at how something so lightweight could safety AND COMFORTABLY function so well. I originally got this for camping but now I will gladly use this for any opportunity. I decided to get the extra large double hammock because I have a 55lb dog who likes to snuggle, but I was afraid it might swallow me whole if it was just me alone in the hammock...which to my surprise it doesn't! It is very comfortable and relaxing. Let's talk about durability: this thing has somehow survived the extreme abuse of 3 teenage boys messing around with it for hours, swinging each other, beating each other up on it, tugging on it, kicking around in it, everything you can think of. I watched nervously as it held up fantastically to these 3 wrecking balls. It survives my 55lb dog's nails gripping into the material where it looks like any other material would have easily ripped (her nails are regularly trimmed so that might have something to do with it too). But after all this poor hammock has been through, it only has but a small dime sized part that is stressed out but not ripped or torn despite the stress it has been through. I am actually impressed. The set up: Super easy! Like I mean, you take it out of it's bag and its up in minutes, use anything steady to tie it to. And the bag is attached to the hammock, so you can't lose or misplace it, and it acts as a little pocket for your phone, snacks, whatever! If this is something you have been thinking about getting, just get it! This thing stays in the truck full time because you never know when you want to just set it up real quick and relax!

07/2023 - I initially bought this as a birthday gift & it was missing the carabiners that were supposed to be included. Ended up having to buy an additional last minute birthday gift as a replacement. Yes I was annoyed; however I reached out to Gold Armour & they sent the missing carabiners immediately. That’s top notch customer service! 07/2023 - UPDATE: Now the carabiners have arrived I’m setting this up in my living room to hang out with my FurBaby. The material is decent quality, it is roomy with a vivid print. New favorite chill spot. FurMama & FurBaby approved. 04/2025 - UPDATE 2 Years Later: This has become my FAVORITE hammock & I own an ENO. I have upgraded my rating to 5 stars. I just purchased the Gold Armour Bug Net in Light Blue to match. I take this with me wherever I go to utilize it as much as possible. During the winter, this hammock stays up in my living room. The beautiful bright Hawaiian print is lovely & the material is silky & not scratchy. I am buying two more with the included bug net from Gold Armour for my niece & nephew who fight over mine whenever visiting. 😂 I have now purchased a hammock stand to enjoy this beauty in my backyard. 😊 This is a quality hammock from a quality company so if you’re on the fence just make the purchase. Trust me you’ll be A Happy Camper!

Great hammock. I like that the bag is sewn directly on it so that it is never lost. Holds my kids and I easily. Easy to set up once you know what your doing. ***UPDATE*** Well it didn’t last quite a year. Although, it was probably mostly my dogs fault. She had nipped a few small holes at the bottom of the hammock. Between the holes and probably the weather (I took it down during the winter months but left it up all the time during warmer months...so it had rain and sun (some fading) wear) it didn’t last. I fell through it tonight. I’m glad I didn’t hurt myself. This is the 2nd one we have purchased from Gold Armor. The first one had a similar fate where my son and I fell through due to small holes my dog had nipped into it and general wear and tear. Had left a 5 star review previously took a star off due to the fading of my most recent one from Gold Armor. Bought a Hawaiian print one in August of last year. Bought a green one prior to that.

I'm no hammock expert, but I love this thing. I've recently decided to try hammock camping, and so after researching online about different features, materials, and hanging options, I settled on this one. Couldn't see spending a bunch of money for a Warbonnet, or other higher end hammocks. Especially when this includes tree straps, and a XL Double hammock for less than the price of many 'strap only' items I've browsed. This arrived today, on time, and the kids and I immediately went outside to hang it between two trees about 12 ft apart in my backyard. I'm 6'1", and both trees are big enough that I can't get my arms around them, so I was concerned that the 10' length of hanging straps wouldn't be enough, but it was plenty. The daisy-chained loops on the straps, and the carabiners inclued made it very easy to hang. No adjusting knots, just unclip the carabiner and move it to the next one until you get it the way you want it. I'm 6'1" tall, 270 lbs, and this thing was plenty big enough for me. Even laying diagonally, there was still plenty of room, and the straps seemed very sturdy. Couldn't be happier with my first purchased hammock. We purchased this for use on our beach. It arrived earlier than even expected. The hammock and carrying case are wonderfully attached for easy opening and repacking -- and for those of us who are a bit absent minded at times, prevents losing the storage case. The straps made for a super easy hook-up. On the tree and in the hammock in under two minutes without reading instructions -- not sure if there were any but it was very logical. Love it.
